Sara kept glanced over where she’d left Cisco to make sure none of the black hoods were flanking him. There were at least three on her, she couldn’t focus on her own life if his life was in peril. Sweeping her leg beneath the two men, she’d kicked their steadied blades from their fingers. She felt the rippling pain of the poison tipped steel graze the middle of her back. Sara staggered for a moment before snapping back the pipe, catching the fresh faced minion in the jaw. They all laid out along the cold concrete still breathing but left to fight for their own consciousness. “Cisco…” her fingers released the lead pipe with an echoing tap as she sprinted back towards the alley.
Cisco wanted to curl up and hide from what just happened, but he was oddly attracted to the fierce, powerful woman that just took down three (if not more) men. “Wow,” he whispered as the last guy hit the ground. He sat silent as Sara ran into the alley, still in awe. His neck stung, and he reached up and felt a bump on his neck that was sore to the touch. He sucked air in through his teeth, voicing his pain without actually swearing like he wanted to. He readjusted his body against the wall and reached down and poked his leg. There was still no feeling, and he was getting a tad worried.
