    If only she had been able to pause, to take a beat and a step back like she usually did and assess the situation; but her mind had been going on a whirlwind. She heard his words, biting down on her bottom lip when she arrived to the car. It was a last ditch attempt, sure, and she had never been able to do so at such a range as from her car to the door of the store itself, but it was almost worth a shot itself. Totally me, she thought out, concentrating hard. You’re not going crazy.

He turned his head as the cashier gave him change, hearing the woman’s voice but not seeing her in his line of vision. What in the world was going on? He had a few theories, but he decided to keep them to himself for the time being. He shook of this weird feeling and walked out to his little compact car whistling the ‘Jurassic Park’ theme song.
