It was then that Violet put it together that the man she had been talking to for the past hour was, in fact, her target. Francisco was a weird name anyway, it would make sense that he went by Cisco. She had assumed that it was a huge lab with hundreds of employees. Her breathing got quicker and she skidded to a stop. “Um. Listen. I uh. I really don’t want to get in the way. I mean, I just met you. And I don’t know what explosion happened, I don’t keep up with the news, but that sounds intense so um. I’ll let you get to… Whatever it is you do. The person I was looking for doesn’t really… I think I need a drink. So I uh… Would you mind just telling me where the nearest bar is and I’ll get out of your hair? I mean, you said you were already late so.”
“Oh, um okay. I understand. Yeah. Totally.” Cisco started throwing in random words to fill the awkward silence. “I mean, it wasn’t terrible. I mean, the building is still standing, isn’t it? Anyway, it doesn’t matter because you’re leaving anyway. Uh, the closest bar is right across from Jitters. Here’s some change for a ride Taxi, bus, whatever works.” He said, sticking a few one dollar bills in her jean pockets. “Hey, maybe we’ll run into each other again! It was great meeting you, Violet.” He said before turning and taking the elevator down to the cortex.
