a-multiverse-apart:

Zaark froze where she stood, the dawning realization clear on her face. Of course Cisco didn’t remember her, it wasn’t the same Cisco. “I did not- You- That is-” Deep breath, remember your protocols, you trained for this-

“I am Zaark. And I am deeply, deeply sorry. I mistook you for someone else. I will leave immediately if you so desire.” Oh, Control was gonna field day with this one. Not even a novice could screw up so badly.

Cisoc saw the look on the woman’s face and took a few strides over to her. Putting a hand on her shoulder, he said, “Hey, don’t be sorry. You didn’t do this. It was my stupidity, I didn’t check all the levels before I tested it. You were just coming to help me clean it up. Zaark, was it? Here, let me pour you a cup of coffee. I’m Cisco,” He smiled, forgetting about how the woman already knew who he was.
