saralancecanaray:

“No this isn’t you, Cisco.” Sara let the dagger clatter to ground with a weight clang. In her heart of hearts, there was one person she could always count on being that unfaltering truth in her life. Diggle was that for Oliver and in some strange way Cisco was that for her. He reminded her how to be human, she couldn’t help but believe that there something worth saving in him. “I don’t know what happened that night but there’s something more behind the rage and the pain. You were the one who told me that there would always be something behind it, something worth holding on to. I care,” her voice dropped down to a low whisper with each brazen step towards him. “I want you around.”

“There’s nothing but anger and pain anymore, Sara. That’s all that’s left. Especially after the quake. The quake that I caused. I can’t live the way I used to knowing I hurt innocent people. Killed innocent people. There’s nothing worth holding on to for me. There’s nothing left.” He watched as she closed the gap between them. I care. I want you around. These words Cisco had heard over and over again the past few days, ringing in his mind. Lies. He told himself. They are all lies. Lies to keep you in their grasp. They just want to use you, Cisco. Don’t believe anything they say. He let out a deep sigh. “You don’t mean that. You can’t mean that.” Each word led to the next, his voice crescendoing as his anger boiled back to the surface. “You’re lying! That’s all you’ve ever done is lie to me, Sara. From the very beginning. You just wanted to use me. Well, there will be no more using. There is no more Cisco Ramon. Only Vibe.”  With the last word, Cisco stuck out a hand, directing vibrations toward a pile of metal beams. They all went flying, mostly just barely over their heads, scattering about the room. However, one bar stayed low, coming straight for the pair. Cisco just barely jumped back and out of the way before it hit the other.
