Caitlin watched the monitors hoping the city could stay placid for the day just so she could get a handle on her fragmented team. Barry had raced off in a dash to heal his broken heart and fuel his self loathing. Cisco laid inside the impenetrable cell, trying to fight the demons that hide just beneath his skin. Jay hadn’t come back yet; leaving Caitlin alone with her thoughts.
The com picked up the settle rustling just before his voice broke the silence. “It’s okay, Cisco. You’re safe,” her voice soothed through the mic. Looks were deceiving, she refused to be doped once more.
Cisco sighed when he heard his friend’s voice. “Caitlin? Oh, Cait! I’m so glad to hear your voice! How did I get here? Where is everyone? Last thing I was in an alley, I saw Bivolo and then Oliver, then everything went dark.”
