“Sorry, Lis. That is reserved for those who actually like me.” Cisco quipped, a little part of him hoping Lisa would come around. “I guess I’ll see ya later then.” He said, slipping his goggles on and turning around to walk away. “Catch you on the flip side, Lisa.”
Lisa couldn’t believe what she was hearing as she turned from him. It hurt her deeper than it should have. The one thing he had never questioned was her feelings for him. After all she made them very clear. She loved him and would always love him but right now she needed to get away before she did something she regretted-mostly cry in front of him.
She didn’t stop her stride at his cruel words as she hurried away. Now it was time to return to old coping habits as the tears that were rapidly coming. Fuck, she hated this. She missed the days when her feels weren’t hurt and she didn’t try to love. She would give anything not to feel right now, she forgot how bad a broken heart could feel. There were so few she let in and just about everyone of them had hurt her. Time to go back to the old ways, which hurt since she seemed her evolution to a neutral and morally gray person would be the best thing for her. Apparently, it was not.
