“Lisa’s in a coma,” Len said shortly. “And you were an ass to her before it happened. She thinks you didn’t really care for her.”
He hadn’t meant to be so blunt, to show how much he was hurting. Len looked away and tried to pull himself together. “I’ll see that Hartley gets the things.”
Cisco’s heart dropped at the news about Lisa. “What?! Len, what are you talking about? I haven’t talked to Lisa in weeks! I do care for Lisa, I would never hurt her!” His voice cracked as his emotions got the better of him. “I appreciate you taking care of him. Really, I do.” He paused, staring out the window at the cars rushing past and the people walking by. “You said something about me joining the rogues. What was that all about?” Cisco drew his eyes back to Len. “Wait. Before you answer. Can I try something? That way you don’t have to explain everything.” Cisco badly wanted to vibe off Len, hoping he would vibe both his encounter with Cold and the encounter with Lisa.
