Two days turned into nearly two weeks. Len had been so sick after being attacked by his ex, he had needed time to recover. And then, yesterday, it had happened. He had made contact with Lisa. He still didn’t understand what was happening with her, but he was more determined than ever to get Cisco to help him.
He stopped outside the door of Cisco’s apartment and thought about the best approach. He could break in through the door. He could use the roof and break out a window. He hesitated, then slowly reached out and knocked politely on the door.
There had been silence for weeks, and Cisco assumed he was in the clear. Each day he’d wake up with the intention to go out and see his Lisa, but things would get in the way, he’d get focused on work and before he knew it it was midnight. One day he heard a knock and he felt fis heart drop. Len had finally come for him. He knew that Cisco hadn’t visited like he said. He went and opened the door, waiting for the man to start yelling and dragging him down the hall. Instead, he was greeted by something completely different. “Len, are you okay?” He said, hardly afraid of the bruised and battered man before him.
