After the disturbing run-in with the nameless metahuman, Violet had every intention to go home and have a stiff drink before passing out for the night. When she got the text from Cisco, however, her blood ran cold. That Rathaway bastard broke his heart. She expected it to happen eventually but not so quickly. With Cisco’s track record of going off the rails, when Cisco asked to not be alone, she practically sprinted to Cisco’s apartment, extremely out of breath as she knocked on the door. “Cisco, open up, it’s Vi.”
The door clicked shut behind Hartley and Cisco felt numb. He didn’t get up off the couch to lock the door, but instead curled up under a blanket and cried. After Cisco sent out the text message, he regretted it. He was a complete mess, wanting to disappear forever. Violet really shouldn’t see him like this. He was supposed to be her big brother, the one who protected her, not the other way around. He felt so stupid for letting himself fall for someone this fast and this hard. It was idiotic, really. After his last response, Cisco dozed off, physically and mentally exhausted from crying. At Violet’s voice, Cisco rolled over and let his arm fall so it was dangling over the side of the couch.
