Heroes Have Bills To Pay, Too.

This was… heartbreaking. She had no idea that any of this had transpired. Why had he not come to her sooner? She may have been able to help him! Kendra was always the glass-half-full type. She pressed her lips together and hummed lightly beneath her breath, eyes averted to the table as she considered the best way to approach the situation. She would do so with honesty, of course; she would never – and could never – lie to Cisco. But she had also not endured the things he had endured. He’d been murdered in a previous timeline by someone he trusted, and he remembered it. That is a recipe for PTSD if she’d ever seen it.

Rather than sit across from him, Kendra moved her chair closer in order to sit immediately beside him. She angled her body so that he had no choice but to look directly at her. She wanted him to know that she wasn’t scared, or disgusted or judgmental. She was concerned and empathetic.

“What do you remember from when you went off the grid, Cisco?” she inquired, “What do you remember about what happened that night? Specifically. Not what you think you remember, or snippets… Exact memories.”

“All I remember is finding a note my sister left for me, then everything is a blur until I left town, then I remember nothing until I was shot by Oliver with a Tranq arrow. That’s when he brought me into STAR Labs.” Cisco sighed, looking up at the woman briefly before averting his gaze again. “I do vibe though. Like, if I encountered someone while off the grid, and I touch them or have some sort of contact, I vibe what transpired between us. Most people are forgiving, but I don’t think they should be.”
