“I remember it was a lot quieter,” Barry said with a chuckle, lifting his hands and placing them at the back of his head as he leaned back, his eyes flicking to look at Cisco. But then Cisco continued, and he realised that they weren’t kidding around anymore. Sure, with all the things that had been happening recently, he wished that things could go back to normal, but he didn’t think he’d trade being The Flash for anything. “Something you want to talk about, bud?”

“It was quieter. I miss it. I miss the simplicity.” Cisco responded, pulling his legs up and under him. He let the silence linger, it quickly turning to an awkward silence. “Well, not particularly, but I have a feeling you won’t let me not  answer.” He sat, avoiding eye contact with his best friend and letting his eyes dart around the room.

Cisco took a deep breath and began. “Whenever I’m alone, I find myself getting really anxious. Like, to the point where I’ll lay around and just let the worry take over everything. Hell, it’s been giving me a stomachache with how anxious I’ve been. When I’m home alone, I’ll just turn on whatever show and distract myself. But when I sleep I’ll have nightmares. It’s like I can’t win.”
