“I can never do anything right, can I?” Cisco said through gritted teeth as he cradled his crying son in his arms. “Shh, Shh. It’s okay Dante, Daddy’s gotchu,” he cooed. “I’m sorry I’m not here all the time. Daddy’s out saving lives when he’s not here.” At this point, he was talking to both his wife and their infant son. “I know it’s scary when I don’t call, when you and Mommy don’t know what’s going on, and I’m so-” Cisco’s apology was cut short when his lips were met with Lisa’s.
“Sorry, I know it stings, but it’ll be worse if it gets infected.” Lisa says as she continues to gently clean the graze. She shakes her head and sighs. “Truth is Cisco I don’t have any or much room to be upset. Considering that I can’t wait to get back into the game myself. I really miss the energy and danger but mostly I miss fighting side by side with you. I always thought that was so romantic.” She says smirking and wrapping her arms around him. “I mean seriously, I’m not fully proud to admit this but the most action I’ve had recently has been hiring a private investigator to che k out D.L’s new teacher…” She smiles as she feels Cisco’s hand on her stomach and nods. “You’re the youngest of two and so am I so it was bound to happen. I found out yesterday actually. I thought I was anemic so I had the doctor do some tests.”
“I can’t imagine how hard it is to stay back while there’s action out there.” Cisco said sympathetically. “You what now? Lisa, I’m pretty sure we had this conversation when you first were pregnant with him. Does she check out?” He added with a cheesy grin.
“I couldn’t be happier with how quickly our little family is growing.”
