Ray sighed a happy sigh when he felt Amelia next to him again. It was as if life was complete again. “Hey Oliver? Thank you, again. Will you stay and make sure nobody comes to finish me off?” He asked with a very nervous laugh.
Ray moved his thumb back and forth on Amelia’s hand, feeling the warmth of her skin beneath his. “I just can’t believe it. We’re going to be parents.”
She chuckled soft, feeling happy once more. “I know.” Amelia smiled “I’m so happy, our child will be loved by both of the parents.”
A tear left the corner of her eye. “I was so worried. I couldn’t do anything, since Oliver won’t let me go with him. He thought it was too dangerous.”
His free hand moved to her abdomen, his thumb moving in circles. “Me too. Amelia, this is the best thing that’s ever happened to us.” Ray leaned his head on hers, letting out a small sigh. “Oliver is right. It’s far too dangerous out there for you. I’ll work with Felicity and Cisco to get some higher security measures on our place. We’ll have to pick our nursery colors and get a registry together and baby proof the house…” Ray’s speech sped up with each new thought until his voice trailed off. “So much to do,” he whispered, utterly overwhelmed by all of his thoughts.
Propose. He thought finally, his lips pursed in a thin line.
