Tom was off the clock and headed to the hospital to visit a friend. “Alright, 203. 203,” he muttered to himself, trying to remember the number his friend gave him. He walked through the hallways, quite lost despite his background in the medical field. He was so used to the ambulance and emergency room, the admit floors seemed like a never-ending maze.
He got to room 204 and tapped his knuckled lightly on the door before cracking it open. “Hey, buddy, how ya feelin?” Tom announced his presence as he opened the door, not looking into the room yet.
Gerald has ended up human and in the hospital how he managed that one was a long story not one worth repeating in his opinion. He was turned away from the door not one family had come to visit but when he heard a voice he perked up and turned around to face the door before slowly sitting up the wires tugging slightly making him since adjusting his nasal cannula. “I’m feeling like shit..” he responded not even comprehending that the voice was someone he didn’t know until the man came into the room with the injuries he sustained he was a little out of it “oh? Um Stefan? What are you doing here?”
Tom tilted his head at the unfamiliar voice. “Stefan? Who’s Stefan? I’m Tom, and I uh- think I have the wrong room. I’m terribly sorry.” Tom leaned against the wall by the door. “Despite not being this Stefan guy you’re expecting, I’m here visiting a friend.” He walked over to the bedside, beginning to untangle the tubes and cords. “Here, you’ve got yourself all twisted. I’m a paramedic, I deal with this a lot.”
