“I know bits and pieces, just me being nosy between my own calls,” Tom confessed, knowing he wasn’t supposed to tell anyone. “I heard there was a nasty fire, and someone was trapped inside under a beam. They said they didn’t know how long you’d been in there, and they were having a hard time getting in. Next thing I heard on the radio, they were en-route to the hospital, with the patient stabilizing despite serious injuries.” Tom couldn’t find it in himself to look away from the man’s gorgeous eyes. “I think so, too. I’m glad I’m so oblivious to door numbers and stumbled into you.”
