Ray smiled from behind the stove. “I’m happily content with you stealing my clothes. Just be glad I don’t steal yours,” he laughed.
“I mean, it’d be nice, but it’s not necessary. It’s important they’re healthy and they’ll be loved no matter what.”
“Oh, that’s for sure.” She nodded, wrapping her blanket around her body, caressing her baby bump with her hand. “The food smells nice.”
“It is your favorite, after all,” Ray smiled, bringing a steaming plate over to her. “I hope you have an appetite, because there’s plenty more.” He tucked his legs under himself as he joined her on the couch.
“You know, I’ve been thinking,” he started. “I feel so bad to have missed the first half of your pregnancy. I don’t want to miss another moment.”
