“Maybe it’s opposite day,” Stefan teased, looking over at the man once they were in the coffee shop. He couldn’t place his finger on it, but the man looked so familiar. “Something sweet usually pairs well with a dark coffee. Balances out the bitterness,” he replied, stepping up to order. “I’ll have a drip coffee and a scone, please. Oh, and whatever he’s having.” Stefan motioned to Miles with a smile.
“Good very well be” he said with a small nod of his head giving a small smile as he looked around with the other humming lightly tilting his head a bit ordering a caramel frappe grinning thinking it looked really good in the picture and a danish “those two things look awesome ..I don’t deviate much from my usual so it’s good for me I think..what’s a drip coffee exactly?”
Stefan handed over a $20 bill and muttered to the barista to keep the change. He moved to the end of the counter to fix his coffee with a little cream and a little sugar. “Drip coffee is just black coffee, essentially. It’s just another word for it,” he explained. “I mean, caramel frappe sounds amazing, and with a danish, no less?” Stefan picked up his scone and led the other to a table in the corner of the shop. After taking a sip of his coffee, he looked to the other. “How’s the frappe?”
