The next day had rolled around, and Ray was a ball of anxiety. He had come up with a plan for Caitlin and Felicity help Amelia get ready for the date. He’d send a beautiful dress in a gift box with a note of the location to meet him. He fixed his bow tie in the mirror and took a deep breath before letting it out in one big huff. “You got this, Ray. You can do this.” He reached over and grabbed the little box, sneaking a peek at the ring he’d picked out during his time on the Waverider. A smile spread across his face at the sight of it, and he tucked it safely in his pocket.
He arrived at the date location, a balcony that looked over the city. He’d set up candles that were strategically placed throughout the balcony, with soft music playing in the background. He stood, looking out over the city when he heard the door open. Ray turned around, and a smile spread across his face like wildfire when he saw her. “Am, you look gorgeous.”
Amelia somehow wasn’t surprised when Caitlin visited. She had told the brunette, she was in town to help the team, which was true but when she realized, Caitlin and Felicity were both helping her get ready, Amelia knew something was up, assuming that Oliver wanted them to keep an eye on her.
But it was date night, so Amelia didn’t care about Oliver’s concern at that moment.
Putting the green dress on, Amelia could see the dress really brought out her eyes.
When she arrived, a valet led her to the balcony, meeting him there.
Looking around, Amelia noticed the candles and the music but then enjoyed the view. “Oh…” She spoke out, appreciating it
Ray took in the sight of his girlfriend in the emerald green dress he’d bought for her. He strode toward her, wrapping his arms around her and placing a gentle kiss on her lips. “How was the girl time?” He grinned, pulling away and cupping her face.
He looked to the waiter, the signal to bring out the deserts he’d picked out. Chocolate goodies covered the plate, but they also brought out a bowl full of fresh berries. “Desert first, am I right?” Ray asked with a grin.
