“Maybe it’s opposite day,” Stefan teased, looking over at the man once they were in the coffee shop. He couldn’t place his finger on it, but the man looked so familiar. “Something sweet usually pairs well with a dark coffee. Balances out the bitterness,” he replied, stepping up to order. “I’ll have a drip coffee and a scone, please. Oh, and whatever he’s having.” Stefan motioned to Miles with a smile.

“Good very well be” he said with a small nod of his head giving a small smile as he looked around with the other humming lightly tilting his head a bit ordering a caramel frappe grinning thinking it looked really good in the picture and a danish “those two things look awesome ..I don’t deviate much from my usual so it’s good for me I think..what’s a drip coffee exactly?”

Stefan handed over a $20 bill and muttered to the barista to keep the change. He moved to the end of the counter to fix his coffee with a little cream and a little sugar. “Drip coffee is just black coffee, essentially. It’s just another word for it,” he explained. “I mean, caramel frappe sounds amazing, and with a danish, no less?” Stefan picked up his scone and led the other to a table in the corner of the shop. After taking a sip of his coffee, he looked to the other. “How’s the frappe?”

“Oh? I never knew that he said giving a small smile as he walked with the other to the other end of the counter to wait for the coffee giggling lightly “what is the danish predictable?”.

Miles hummed when he took the coffee and food before happily following after Stefan sitting across from him getting a woft of the cologne again from the clothes he was wearing now and damn it smelt good. Miles blinked a few times snapping out of his trance blushing as he sipped his drink slowly nodding. “It’s really sweet..just the right amount” he said humming lightly “hows yours?”

“I don’t think it screams predictable, but it defintely doesn’t whisper it, either,” Stefan said with a cheeky smile. “Mine’s good, actually. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness.” He tilted his head and raised an eyebrow at the other, noticing the pink in his cheeks. “You okay over there, Miles? Seems like something might be on your mind.”
