Ray’s eyes twinkled with anticipation & adoration. His smile only widened at her calling him a ‘silly man.’ Ray took the ring out and slid it gingerly onto her finger. His gaze shifted back to her face as his hands cupped her face. “I love you, too, Amelia.” Ray finished his sentence with a deep kiss, halfway between kneeling and standing
Kissing him back, she smiled, cupping his cheek. “The ring is perfect.” Amelia looked at it, realizing it was somehow just like she was. A perfect combination of being bad ass and a real girly girl.
“It looks great on you,” Ray smiled, pulling his chair closer to hers and sitting down. “I found that while we were out traveling on the Waverider. Had Gideon hide it so Mick and Len wouldn’t snag it and pawn it off.”
She kept looking at it. “So it is from a different time?” Amelia smiled “Oh that’s amazing.” She looked at him. “I am going to be your wife!” Amelia cheered
Ray nodded with a dopey grin on his face. “Yeah, different time, different place. A purely unique ring for a purely unique woman.” He beamed, watching Amelia admire the ring. “Yeah, Marriage! Would you want to get married before or after our little one arrives?” Ray asked the question that had kept him up at night, hoping that she had a more definitive answer than he did.
