Stefan smiled at Miles, taking a sip of his coffee and nearly choking on it at the other’s revelation. “Wait, what?!?” He was taken aback, but also flattered. He coughed a few times, trying to clear his throat more fully. “Sorry, I just didn’t expect that. I guess I was blind to it at the time.”
“I believe so..that’s what father told me when I asked if uncle has ever loved anyone to be honest I had no idea on who you were even when we met it just didn’t connect until you told me your name and stuff” he told the other poking the tips of his fingers together shrugging his shoulders.
“Hmm,” Stefan hummed, letting his gaze shift to looking out the window. A few memories crossed his mind, specifically ones from the 1920s when he was running with Klaus and Rebekah. “I guess that’s all in the past now, right?” Stefan shifted his gaze back to Miles with a smile.
“I mean yea it’s in the past..” he said nodding not wanting to speak about it any farther figuring it would be inappropriate to talk about it further plus he wanted Stefan to focus on him.
“So um would you like to get to know another then, ask each other questions and such” he offered giving a small smile.
“Yeah, okay. First question. Do you want to walk around while we play twenty questions, or stay here?” Stefan grinned, absentmindedly fiddling with his daylight ring. He always seemed to mess with it when he was nervous, and Miles definitely made him feel that.
