“Oh, I am. Trust me,” Ray drawled, leading them back to the car. “Truffle pasta? Damn straight! You know I love it just as much as you do.”
She chuckled soft. “Goofball.”
When they arrived home, Amelia got out of the car, taking off her heels as soomn she arrived at the porch.
Ray beamed at the nickname that he was so proud of. “What can I say? My goofiness is brought out when I’m around those I’m highly comfortable around.” He followed behind Amelia, ensuring she got inside safely. “I threw some laundry in before I left, there should be some warm clothes in there for you. I’m going to get things started for dinner before changing.”
She smiled, loving how he took care of her so well. Walking to the bathroom, she opened the dryer, pulling out a comfy outfit for herself. Walking to their bedroom, she unzipped her dress, putting it on the bed. When she was done, she walked to the kitchen, getting some juice from the fridge. “It smells nice.”
Ray smiled as Amelia walked out, looking cute in her cozy clothes. “Thanks, babe. I’ve got some garlic bread going in the oven, pasta water is nearly boiling, and the truffle sauce is just getting going,” he explained, waltzing over and giving her a peck on the cheek before practically skipping to the bedroom to change out of his suit.
“You know,” he started, walking from the bedroom. “I think cooking had become one of my new hobbies, thanks to you.” Ray pulled Amelia into a hug before kissing her cheek again.
She smiled when he kissed her cheek, watching the food for a moment when he went to the bedroom.
Hugging him back, she started to chuckle “Well, I am glad it is thanks to me. Your cooking is amazing.” Amelia complimented him
“Me too,” he mused. “I pulled a few blankets out and put them on the couch. The remotes are all over there, and I think the TV is just yearning to have a movie put on while we cuddle and eat dinner.” Ray was a cheesy romantic at heart, and he couldn’t help himself in moments like these to make it over the top.
