“Well, sufganiyot are similar to jelly doughnuts sprinkled in powdered sugar, and rugelach are like pinwheel cookies. Flaky dough with either chocolate, cinnamon, or jam in the swirl,” Ray mused, taking another bite of his cookie, finishing it off. “Maybe catered food was the way to go? That way it practically had to be good, right?”
Nate hummed, taking a sip of eggnog, “See, those sound amazing. I am 100% in for any traditions that are delicious.” he gave Ray a grin, before a small slump of the shoulders, “Christmas was … always a time for pops to show off, a lot of business friends would come over, and I think- he had a kid who couldn’t go outside, couldn’t be the sports star, so he wasn’t really sure how to … pal it up.”
“Not that it’s a a big deal or anything. Christmas was awesome, got my first computer when I was 10.”
He reached for his eggnog and took a sip, smiling at his best friend. “It’s settled then I’m definitely making some for everyone. You can have first taste,” Ray smiled before pursing his lips, nodding in understanding.
