Prompt: Neal knits an ugly sweater and forces Emma to wear it.
“Aw, c’mon! It’s looks great on you! No, no. Don’t take it off. I made it for you. It’s adorable.” He’d spent the better part of the last year knitting a sweater for Emma and damn was he proud of it.
Emma tried the sweater. It was probably one of the worse sweaters she had ever seen even more than the hand me downs she had gotten in the foster system. But she couldn’t help but smile as Neal seemed so happy with himself. They had finally gotten on the straight and narrow and surprisingly well to Emma at least. neal was good at mending and making clothes. Knitting he was not so good at.
Emma had been ready to take it off until Neal told her to not take it off. “Yeah, it’s great to lounge around in.”
Neal stood and walked over to his love. “Thanks for humoring me, babe. I’m glad you tolerate it,” he grinned, giving her a kiss on the cheek. “I know it sucks. I’m proud of it, but it sucks. I’ll try and make a better one next time. Softer, yeah? This yarn is kinda scratchy,” he asked, his hand running down her sleeve before intertwining with hers. “I’ll have to make myself one to match.”
