“And I will always call myself that, no matter what you believe because I know deep down you know it too.” He diverted every vibe the other threw at him. “I never thought myself as one, in fact, I’m far from being one. But this that you’re doing right now is wrong. Calm yourself down and snap out of it before you truly end up hurting innocent people, because if you do you know what would that make you? A villain scum.”

“I’m completely calm, Barry.” Cisco said with a sinister smile. “It looks to me as if you’re the one getting worked up, not me.” He wiggled his fingers slowly, ready to open a portal and get himself out of this confrontation that was going in circles. “You want me to snap out of it? Let’s see if you can catch me and make me, speedy.”

He snickered, opening a breech and jumping through it, landing in Star City. He walked the streets, staying in the shadows and waiting to see if Barry had figured out where he went.

“Fine, I won’t pummel any of the idiots you work with.” She says with a huff and a slight roll of her eyes. “I just can’t stand to see you be treated like this Cisco. You have a talent and you should be having fun using it. I’m almost done with this semester, I could go back to the family job to help you with the bills. Not that I’d be thrilled to but I’m willing to because I believe in you.”

“No, babe. You don’t have to. I’m just happy that you’re happy. I’m going to talk to my boss about becoming a team lead, and if that doesn’t go well, I’ll start looking for a different job. But in the meantime,” He trailed, closing the distance between them. “How about pancakes for dinner? I think it’s my turn to cook, isn’t it?”

“Who the hell did this to you?” (Protective Lisa :3)

Nobody, it doesn’t matter.” Cisco sniffled, using one hand to hold a bag of frozen peas to his face and holding the other close to his body. “I’ll be fine,” he lied.

As Cisco goes into the bedroom to change out of his suit Lisa quietly punches the nearest pillow hoping to release some anger, though of course that didn’t work. She then gets up and starts packing a few things into a bag such as a few bottles of water, snacks, cell phone charger and a gun hidden in a secret pouch just in case. Lisa quickly grabs her phone and the bag before rushing into the bedroom when Cisco suggests the ambulance. “Cisco!” She yells, reaching him just as he was dropping to the ground. Lisa eases him to the floor cradling his head in her lap and urgently calls 911 as she runs her fingers in his hair trying to calm him.

“That’s it Cisco just take slow breaths and stay with me okay? The ambulance is on its way, just hang in there and keep your eyes open for me.” She was terrified as she could tell it was painful for him to even breathe but she kept her emotions at bay as she continued to urge Cisco to stay awake. “Come in quickly!” She yells towards the door as she hears the paramedics arrive. Lisa holds onto Cisco’s good hand the whole way to the hospital until she had gone as far as she could before the nurses were urging her to stay in the waiting room.

Although she wanted to argue with them she didn’t want to delay Cisco getting treatment. She quickly leans in and whispers in his ear. “You’re going to be fine Cisco. I promise I’ll be right there cuddled up beside you when you wake up.” Lisa plants a soft kiss on his ear as she was unable to reach his lips. “I love you Cisco and I will see you soon.”

She reluctantly lets go of his hand and watches as they take Cisco into surgery. After pacing for a few minutes she knew it would drive her crazy just waiting and not doing anything to help him. Lisa reaches in the bag and immediately feels the secret compartment. She is only gone for about two hours arriving back at the hospital in plenty of time to keep her promise to Cisco. Cuddling up beside him resting her head on his good shoulder as she waits for him to wake up.

Cisco felt a great amount of comfort with Lisa’s hand in his. His lungs burned with each breath, the oxygen tickling his nose and helping him breathe. In the ambulance ride over, Cisco felt a sharp poke in his good hand, no doubt in his mind that they were beginning to give him fluids. After the poke, he felt Lisa’s hand once more. The last thing he clearly remembered was hearing Lisa’s voice and feeling the kiss warm against his cold skin.

Everything after changing out of his suit was hazy. Hell, everything now was hazy. As he began to regain consciousness, Cisco heard a steady beeping of the heart monitor and felt a tingle in his nose as the oxygen was administered. He also felt someting warm cuddled to his side and a dull, achy pain in his torso. He slowly blinked his eyes open, the rest of his body staying still as Cisco took in his surroundings. He looked down and saw Lisa cuddled close to him, his good arm draped across her back. His other arm was in a cast, the red plaster standing out against the white sheets. He turned his head, following the tube in his hand up to where the fluids and medication hung.

He turned his head back to Lisa, gently moving his thumb in circles on her back with a smile pulling at his lips. “Lis,” he croaked, his throat dry.
