“Dad” the boy called out from his room “come look I made something a robo sissy helped “

Cisco heard the voice from the kitchen, where he was preparing lunch from his son and daughter. He set down his utencils and walked towards his son’s room to see what he had built. “Wow! Look at you! That’s amazing!” Cisco beamed at his son’s creation. “After lunch, we can keep working on it okay?” He smiled, scooping his 5-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter up and carrying them to the kitchen for lunch before either could protest.

The little girl tugged on her dads shirt her black eyes looking at him. “Dad I made auntie sad I found this and auntie Cait cry and run out.” Holding the picture of her wedding day.

“Yeah, Honey. This picture makes Autie Cait sad.” Cisco said with a sad sigh as he bent down to his daughter’s level and pulled her into his lap. “This,” he said, pointing to the man in the picture, “Is Uncle Ronnie. He was a wonderful, selfless man, whom we all loved and still love. He is the reason we call you Ronnie, my dearest Veronica.”

“You look exhausted.”

“I’m fine I’m used to no sleep” She said not wanting him to worry but he was right. The last time she got any real sleep was well its been a while maybe before the zoom thing. But now she’s got added pressure of frost and a speed god running around the city.

She felt so drained she wasn’t even paying attention to the chemicals as she was about to poor two that explode when mixed together.

She nods understanding that one “hey!” She said pouting when he took the bottle. “I wa…” she started until she sees the label.

“There you go you guys are always saving my life. Maybe I could use some rest before I do something worse then mixing things that can blow up.”

She gets up taking his hand “lead the way and I’ll trust you pick the movies I know that you always pick the best ones. But this time work is more important the sooner I can get rid of her the faster I can get back to normal.”

“Yeah. I know the perfect movie to doze off to.” Cisco smiled, leading the way to his vehicle. When they arrived at his place, he unlocked the door and flipped the light on. “Cait, is everything okay? Is there anything I can do for you?”

“You need to rest now. Don’t move.” (hr-wells.)

Cisco tried sitting up, but the other man’s hand stopped him from moving further than a few inches off the bed. “No, I need t’ help ‘em,” he slurred, his head still swimming from the hit he’d recieved. When they were fighting, it was dark out, almost midnight. Now, the sun was shining brightly.
“How long was I out?” He asked, his eyes glancing down and seeing an IV in his arm and a clip on his finger monitoring his vitals.

@hr-wells

“Nine hours,” HR chuckled, drumstick in hand pointing to the broken leg the man was boasting. Thankfully Julian knew how to make a splint, or else they would be in a much different place. Pulling a chair up to the guy’s bedside he let out a light sigh, knowing the younger of the two may not like the news.

“Doc Bond wants you in bed for a week, and on crutches for a couple more after that.” He braced himself for the argument back, though silently hoped the boy wouldn’t shoot the messenger.

“Damn.” Cisco muttered as he craned his neck to see the damage. His head fell back on the pillow and he immediately regretted it. Sharp pains shot through his skull, and Cisco assumed he’d sustained a concussion during the battle. He could deal with bedrest and crutches, but he couldn’t live with himself if someone else got hurt.

“How did things turn out? Is everyone else okay? Please tell me everyone is at least better off than I am.” He wouldn’t forgive himself if any of his friends had gotten hurt when he wasn’t conscious to help save them.

Cisco sat in his dark lab, his legs hugged closely to his chest. “Why? Nobody ever wants to help me! Why would you want to help me? I’m just a helpless case. That’s what everyone always says. I’m helpless. Impossible.” He trailed, his voice shaking and he held back sobs. “I’m not worth helping.”

shesnipes:

This has been on my mind for long but I’m gonna do this – please reblog this if you’re comfortable with pre-establishing relationships. I do not mean “met at the grocery store two weeks ago” or “have a common friend”, but rather stuff like “have been best friends since kindergrden”, “go for a beer every friday”, “friends with benefits”, “dated in highschool”, “hate each other’s guts because -insert reason-”  etc. Something meaningful (but not necessarily shippy) and I mean with muns/characters you have not interacted with, because I cannot believe I am the only one who prefers jumping right into the heart of the human interaction.

“Daddy look look!” The little boy said circling in a outfit that had black like his mom and blue like his dads “and look!” He made a little mini portal before it fades. “I still can’t do it right” he pouts.

A smile spread across Cisco’s face when he heard his son’s voice from around the corner. He followed the voice of his youngest son and watched as he tried making a portal. “Oh, hijo,” He cooed. “You’ve almost got it. Here let Daddy help you.” Cisco smiled, kneeling next to his son and lifting both their arms to create a small portal and left it open for seconds before closing it again.
He turned to his son and looked him in the eyes. “You are a special one, Dante. I love you.” Cisco said, placing a kiss on the younger Ramon’s head as he heard his wife walk in the front door.

“You need to rest now. Don’t move.” (hr-wells.)
