“If he’s so dangerous, leveling houses and other… destructive whatever, why the hell are you upgrading it for them?” Landon said, raising an eyebrow. “I got these shoes based on your work, man. That’s what I’m thanking you for.”
“Because, He’s a good guy. Actually, he’s worked with the Flash a few times. Mostly works on his own, though.” Cisco said, hoping it would ease the man’s mind. “Wait, really? Nice work, Kid.” He smiled, looking down at the shoes.
“So you are testing some other dude’s invention?” Landon said, narrowing his eyes as he tried to keep it straight in his head. A guy with that kind of damage, he imagined at some point would have come up in conversation with Leonard. Oh well. “Yeah, I have my own transport. Thanks, by the way.”
“I’m not testing it out, I’m modding and upgrading them it for him. These gauntlets are essentially useless without his power.” Cisco explained, realizing the lie was beginning to spiral away from him. “Wait, what are you thanking me for?”
“Oooh.” Landon said. He put them back down, seeing as he wasn’t sure how they operated. Like if there were buttons or something he should avoid triggering. He tried to think if he had heard anything like that from Leonard, but wasn’t quite coming up with interdimensional portals.
But then he quirked an eyebrow. “Are you trying to tell me your own tech teleported on you, and it was an accident? That’s either awesome or terrifying.”
“Uhm, kind of? The wearer was testing them after the last modification and sort of took me along for the ride.” He lied smoothly, remembering the week long migrane it left him with. “I don’t reccommend it. Seriously. The dude who uses them can do some major damage. I’ve seem him cause earthquakes, level city blocks, and demolish houses.”
“Ugh, you had to go with frat boy?” Landon said, disgusted by the very idea. Like he could ever get along with frats. Like they’d let a guy who did figure skating into a frat. “Mm-hm, cool. What’s it do?”
He tracked is fingers over the edge, feeling along little gears and wires. Sure, he modified the gun into his cold shoes, but he was no where near as talented as Cisco. “I won’t break it. I know how sensitive these things can be.”
Cisco let a smirk pull at the corners of his mouth. “Well, they can do many things. They help the user hone their abilities and more easily open interdimensional potrals, send out vibrational blasts, and teleport.” He was relieved that Landon knew the fragility of technology, unlike some of the the STAR Lab’s other unexpected guests.
“Although, that teleport thing only happened once, to my knowledge.” And it will probably never happen again, Cisco thought as he used the desk to pull himself back to his feet.
“Do you think Leonard is pretty?” He had to ask. It was almost an instinct. “I knew you’d get it, you’re too smart not too.”
He sped forward, circling Cisco in ice until he could dart to the table and grab the tech. “So what is this, by the way? Landon Snart, at your service.”
“No, you just have a pretty boy look to you. Like, freshman frat-boy.” Cisco stubled over his words as the young Snart skated around effortlessly and snatched his tech. He knew he needed to come with an explanation for his gauntlets, and fast. “I’m working on some modifications for a friend. A rising vigilante in Central City.”
Cisco stepped forward to grab the gauntlet back, but slipped and fell on his ass as soon as he moved his foot. His head smacked the floor and he groaned as he lay there. “Just don’t break it, okay? Those took months to get right.”

It had been a long day at work, and Cisco was glad to be headed home. The sun was just setting and the shadows were getting darker with each minute that passed. He popped in his headphones and put his hood up, casting a shadow on his face as he walked home.
He felt a pair of eyes as he walked, he kept looking over his shoulder for several blocks before he took out a earbud and really listened to what was around him. He definitely heard something, so he wrapped his headphones up and stuffed them in his pocket.
“Ooooh, you are going to regret calling me that. Landon chuckled, it wasn’t like he’d physically fight Cisco to make him regret it. But he didn’t imagine that Cisco would be thrilled with calling a Snart pretty. He pushed back against the table, activating the cold shoes. He skated backwards a few feet, raising an eyebrow to see if Cisco caught on.
Cisco’s face dropped his brain put two and two together. He was kicking himself for not noticing sooner. The facial features were all too familiar. He’s a Snart. Cisco lowered his arm, knowing he should conceal his powers from the young Snart for the time being, unaware if this kid was a friend or foe. “Let me guess, Snart? With the cold shoes, I’m assuming you’re Len’s kid.”
