“No shit, he’s not literally you. He’s you on another Earth, and he has the most insane powers.” he explained further, raising an eyebrow when the other refused his shake. He couldn’t imagine why; it wasn’t like he held a hand full of rippling fire. Before he could return with another taunt, he was knocked on his ass and pushed a good 25 feet across the parking lot until he slammed into a nearby car. “Fuck, apparently you do to.” he swore, groaning a bit as he rose to his feet. After going through a crop of vigilantes already to get this far, he honestly wasn’t in the mood for another battle. “How about you just swipe me into the lab so I don’t have to blow a hole in the wall and we’ll call it even?” he suggested, circling Cisco with embers ready to go in case the other man were to try sending out another vibration through space.
As Deathstorm flew across the lot, a smirk spread across his face. However, his happiness was shortlived as his opponent got back up and started towards him. Cisco stood, feet shoulder width apart with his feet offset. “How about no, flameboy?” He said, crossing his arms. “Even if I did, you’d have to surpass several levels of security. I’m not letting you in.”
Violet: I know. But I’m still not disappointed in you. You can’t control who you fall for. Clearly he likes you so that’s all I can ask for. The way he was nuzzling into you like a cat was cute.
Cisco: I don’t know what to think anymore. One minute you are ragging on who I’m in love with, the next you’re saying we look cute together?
“They’re packed with preservatives and negative calories. Those aren’t as good as everyone says they are. You could be eating fresh vegetables, Cisco.” Caitin scowled him gently, she hated having to be the mother hen all the time. “You forget how long I’ve worked with you, Cisco. I know it’s bad when I find piles of taco wrappers or candy wrappers in weird places in the lab. It’s bad when there’s a nails clippings.” She followed behind him, laying the groceries along the countertops.
“Preservatives are so goooood though!” Cisco laughed, leaning on the counter, chin on the faux granite. As she scolded him, his forehead ended up bearing the weight of his head on the counter. He wanted to hide from Cait, hide from the world. “Can I go and hide forever? I feel like a failure since I ended up in the pipeline on the inside of a cell. Hell, I am a failure. Look at me.” He said, staring at his hands under the barcounter.
Two days turned into nearly two weeks. Len had been so sick after being attacked by his ex, he had needed time to recover. And then, yesterday, it had happened. He had made contact with Lisa. He still didn’t understand what was happening with her, but he was more determined than ever to get Cisco to help him.
He stopped outside the door of Cisco’s apartment and thought about the best approach. He could break in through the door. He could use the roof and break out a window. He hesitated, then slowly reached out and knocked politely on the door.
There had been silence for weeks, and Cisco assumed he was in the clear. Each day he’d wake up with the intention to go out and see his Lisa, but things would get in the way, he’d get focused on work and before he knew it it was midnight. One day he heard a knock and he felt fis heart drop. Len had finally come for him. He knew that Cisco hadn’t visited like he said. He went and opened the door, waiting for the man to start yelling and dragging him down the hall. Instead, he was greeted by something completely different. “Len, are you okay?” He said, hardly afraid of the bruised and battered man before him.
“Look who it is,” she muttered choking up on her staff. “Well then I guess you better entertain me with whatever interesting story you’ve come to spin.”
Cisco’s head dropped at the woman’s words. “I’m not spinning stories. I’m sorry for whatever I did that hurt you. I still don’t remember. I’m really sorry. I hurt a lot of people, and I’ve been paying for it these past few weeks. If you want, you can yell at me all you want. Hand me my ass. I have nowhere to be.”
“Uh… Good,” she replied with a nod of her head. She leaned over and told her colleague that she was going to take her fifteen-minute break. When she got unanimous approval from the rest of the staff, she stepped out from behind the counter and approached him. “Want to sit down?” she asked, “I’ve… Got a few things I’d like to ask you, actually.”
“Um, sure?” Cisco grabbed his drink from the other barista before leading the woman over to an open table. He took the seat that faced the door and took a sip of his drink, burning his mouth and muttering a curse word under his breath. “Sorry. What did you want to ask me?”
“I’m not gonna run us Cisco. We’re gonna walk, like normal people.” Barry smiled softly, walking along and watching his friend. “We do need to hang out sometime. I miss you.”
“Normal people? I don’t know if you noticed, but we’re not normal. We’re metahumans!” Cisco said in an attempt at a whisper that was much too loud for a whisper. “I miss you too, Bare! Bear? Bare.” He repeated the word, meaning something different each time, hearing the vowels roll over his tongue.

“He’s you; He’s not here yet, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before Zoom pulls him through a breach too.” He explained, taking a few steps to the side to survey the man in front of him. He wondered for a brief second if both Reverb and the man in front of him shared the same ability. “Thank god I’m not your Ronnie, from the sounds of it he was an idiot. Deathstorm, from Earth-2.” He extended a fiery hand for a shake, just to go out of his way to be an asshole.

“He can’t be me, I’m me.” Cisco said, his face twisting in confusion. His face twisted into distain as the man extended his flaming hand. He extended his hand, palm facing the man. “No thanks,” He smirked, sending some vibrations out towards the man, strong enough to knock a person over. He watched closely, readying himself for a possible counterattack from the man.
Violet: Then your boyfriend told on me. For some reason that’s worse.
Violet: You know what’s crazy? You thinking of me like you think of your real family.
Violet: I’m not disappointed in you. I’m disappointed that your heart decided that that man was what you wanted. Of all the billions of people on this earth.
Cisco: My heart is part of me. Therefore, you’re disappointed in me. I get it. Like I said, I’m used to it.
Cisco: I doubt he’s leaving anytime soon, so ya better get used to it.
