Barry looked at the other with surprise, not expecting that. “Your Hartley huh?” He smiled a bit, drinking a little before replying. “You should probably sober up before you go back and see him…”
“He’ll be too drugged to even realize.” Cisco laughed, “He’s great though. I know he was a dick when we worked together and I thought so until we ran into each other a few weeks back. He explained stuff and it all makes sense now. He’s amazing.” He gushed, taking a drink to stop himself from rambling on much longer.
“Okay, fine, fine.” Lian replied with a smile and putting the tip in her pocket. She couldn’t help but laugh. This guy was funny and adorable and nice to look at, the girl knew inside it was going to be a wild night. “Hmmm, you know I don’t mind it being a little far if it’s totally worth it. I still have yet to go to new places if that’s alright with you.” She said with a smile as Lian looked down at her phone seeing her shift was ended. “Good timing you have to, I’m off as of now.”
“That’s absolutely fine!” Cisco smiled, zipping up his hoodie. “So there’s italian, mexican, typical american style places, basically everything you can think of. What are you in the mood for?”
Violet: You made me a key before you were sick, Cisco. It was our place. And one of the reasons why I came over was to talk about a new arrangement. But I don’t want to get in the way. If you truly like him then I won’t bother you. I’m sorry, Cisco. I’ll ask my boss if I can leave early if you still want to tell me.
Violet: Sorry.
Cisco: Don’t bother. Just keep working or whatever. You know where I’ll be.
He laughed weakly, ordering from the bartender before responding. “Never again. I’m with you. Glad to see you didn’t get injured though.”
“Same, man. Same. It sucks though. My, uh. My-” Cisco struggled to find his words. “My Hartley was really hurt though. The earpieces I made after I broke his first ones shattered in his ears. He was in surgery for a while. They said he’d be waking up in a few hours, so I’m here before I go back to see him when he wakes up.” Cisco rambled, already close to being very drunk.
While he couldn’t get drunk, Barry needed a drink. Between trying to make sure everyone was overall okay, he was having to be around the hospital alot to help Vi deal with Griffin, and his stress levels were through the roof at the moment. Yet he wasn’t tired, so here he was in a bar, hoping the taste of alcohol would help soothe his nerves. As he approached, he saw Cisco sitting at one end and moved to sit down beside him, looking at his friend with concern. “Hey…you doing okay?”
“They’re going about as good as things could.” Cisco said, finishing his third drink of the night. “That gala was quite the event, huh? I’m never going to a big event ever again.”
Cisco: I can’t explain it over the phone. I’ll talk to you when you get home.
Violet: Home is Barry’s house, Cisco. So don’t worry about having Hartley over and getting busy in the living room or something and me walking in unannounced. I won’t do that anymore. But I can’t talk tonight. I don’t know when I’ll be done. Probably middle of the night.
Cisco: Then why did I even bother making you a key? This was supposed to be /our/ place. Fine, then I guess you’ll never know. Have fun with whatever you’re doing.
Cisco: Hartley and I have a lot more in common than you think. We’re both mentally broken, we come from broken families. We’re not sure where to go. It’s hard to explain over a text message.
Violet: what do you mean you’re not sure where to go?
Violet: explain it in a call then. I’m on a break.
Cisco: I can’t explain it over the phone. I’ll talk to you when you get home.
Cisco: Um, the owner of this phone is actually in surgery at the hospital as well. Can I ask who this is regarding?
Griff: Ah, that is unfortunate. This is about a young man named Griffin? No last name was given.
Cisco: Um, yeah. I think the person who you’re trying to reach has been in contact with Griffin. Quite a lot, actually. Should I let him know he’s here as well once he wakes up?
Violet: Fuck, Cisco. What do you see in him. Honestly. Because Griffin wouldn’t tell me what /he/ saw in him and frankly that’s what’s worrying me so much with this. Griffin doesn’t commit to anything. He doesn’t /move in/ with people. And in all the years I’ve known him, he has never been attracted to guys. And suddenly this guy seduces him in an alley and now they’re bedding up together. And he can’t even tell me /why/. It’s like he’s under some spell and I don’t want it to happen to you. I don’t even know what this dude’s powers are or whatever. All I know is he probably has them if he almost killed my Barry.
Cisco: Hartley and I have a lot more in common than you think. We’re both mentally broken, we come from broken families. We’re not sure where to go. It’s hard to explain over a text message.
