Rick hissed as the shots rang out, he himself had been a target for his open position. “ Get down kids.” He turned himself around and glared at the pair. Out of his gauntlet on the left hand popped a microfiber a ballistic Shield. Charging the doors he dropped to his legs, sliding, knocking out one of the men by their feet.

He Prompt drove his fist into the man’s face, the amplified strength knocking him out. Adjusting, he swung his arm around, firing the grapple hook from his wrist launcher while under cover. He took several shots to the shield before the grapple wrapped around the man’s throat.

Cisco ducked as shots rang out, grateful he send Violet to find cover when he did. As Rick ran off to take out the baddies, he noticed a pungent smell start to fill the room. It became harder to breathe with each second that passed. “We have to get out of here.” He coughed, trying to catch his breath.

Violet moved over to her brother, grabbing his hand and squeezing it before letting go, knowing that he needed his hands. She cursed in her mind that she hadn’t started training with Nyssa yet. Some sort of assassin skills would come in handy right about now. All she could do, however, is be a human shield if it came to it which she was readily able to do. Now that Cisco had Hartley, even if he’s a horrible person, they were happy. She wouldn’t let Cisco lose his happiness so quickly after he got it. She had enough good memories with Barry to last her in Hell.

Hartley nodded, following Cisco and trying his best to will the screeching of competing frequencies to somehow fade into the background. He could feel something wet starting to drip from his ears. The devices had shattered. But the influx of adrenaline allowed him to grit his teeth and keep going, his gloves primed. Honestly, he was utterly and completely terrified. He wasn’t a fighter. Only against Barry Allen and even then only when he knew he would win. Hartley had never even been up close with a gun let alone multiple gunmen. He trotted behind Cisco, his other senses now heightened. He longed for silence. He longed for the comforting sound of nothingness. But his eyes instinctively focusing and scanning all angles. He’d have to rely on his sight now. Which, was unfortunate considering his eyesight wasn’t very steller and falling debris had shattered one of his lenses, leaving a very irritating distraction. Hartley couldn’t make out what Cisco said to the ARGUS agent who was currently holding up the ceiling and felt very vulnerable. This really wasn’t a good idea.

Rick pushed the tech to its limits, holding up that beam. He had received from advice from the people there, hold it up until they could prop it up. There was not a lot of options, if they were under attack it would be a long time before the firefighters could get there and even then the equipment necessary to prop it up was a long way off. He was stuck there, hoping that they wouldn’t become the victims of an attack.” I don’t know if this will hold until help gets here kid.”

@fransciscoramon @rathawayxhartley @notpurple-violet

“I didn’t say you had to continue holding it up, just- hold on.” Cisco said, sticking his hands out and sending vibrations towards different pieces of debris and beginning to stack them near the man to hold the structure. They piled up past the man, giving the pillar a somewhat solid structure for the time being. Cisco glanced over to see Violet watching on. “Vi, you need to find somewhere to hide. Now.” He said sternly, knowing his sister would probably try and protest. “Just go, please. I don’t know what I would do if you got hurt. Find a closet or something. That way I know you’re safe.” He grabbed her hand and turned her, pushing her in the opposite direction of the gunmen. He then turned to see Hartley scanning the room through his broken glasses. There was a deep red liquid coming from his ears, and Cisco quickly closed the gap between them. “Your ears. Blood.” He signed quickly, pulling the nonsense hankerchief from his breast pocket and wiping the blood away.

“The only superpowered bastard in this room is my brother and he’s good for destroying things not making it better. Maybe we can do something where it will just fall? You can’t hold that forever.”

@rathawayxhartley, @col-rick-flagg, @fransciscoramon

Hartley’s expression hardened and he shook his head, the adrenaline coursing through his veins. “I stay with you. I protect you.” Hartley stood up, making a dash for the coat check, climbing over some rubble and reappearing a few minutes later with his gloves. “I thought there might be bad things here.” Hartley powered on his gauntlets and the hum of the power sent even more feedback, Hartley letting out another pained scream before balling his fists and setting his jaw, making dead eye contact with Cisco. “Help sister. I clear way.”

@col-rick-flagg, @fransciscoramon, @notpurple-violet

Rick grappled with the beam, struggling to hold it up. The beams security gave way further, leaving the full weight of the upper floor and their support floors. The building was compromised and he was right in the middle of the blast radius.” where is that bozo in Red when you need him.”

@fransciscoramon

Cisco sighed, closing his eyes. He didn’t know what he would do if either Vi or Hartley got hurt. He knew for sure that he would never forgive himself. “Fine. Careful. I think there are gunmen over there.” He signed before pointing toward the entrances. He lead the way back down the path he created, back to his sister. “Yo, Rick is it? Yeah. Don’t let go just yet. We need to find something to hold up the beam. Metal maybe?” Cisco began scanning the room for anything that could hold the weight of the beam.

“I don’t think you’ll break, Cisco.” He didn’t actually know, but he had faith in the boy. His powers were identical to Reverb, and if he knows anything about Reverb, he had full control over his powers. He didn’t know how long it took him, but it was a small reminder that Cisco could learn to control his, too. “Sometimes nightmares make a person stronger.” Lord knew he had them all the time about Zoom. Most of the time he didn’t survive in them, either. But for Jay, it made him feel a bit stronger because at the end of the day, he was still alive. “If you ever need anything, feel free to find me. I probably can’t do much, but I can lend you an ear if you ever need to talk to someone.”

“Really? You’ve got an awful amount of trust in me then,” Cisco said. “These ones don’t, when they’ve caused so much chaos and destruction. I’ll be sure to keep that in mind though, thanks Jay.” He said with a slight smile. “I really appreciate it.”

Violet was wiping at her eyes, looking wildly around, looking completely overwhelmed and confused. Between Hartley’s screams, some random guy suddenly growing armor and holding up the ceiling, and her brother effortly using superpowers, her head was spinning. She sat up, wobbling a bit and crawling over to the man holding up the beam. “Do you need any help?”

@rathawayxhartley, @col-rick-flagg, @fransciscoramon

Hartley screamed again as Cisco used his vibrations, the frequency he gave off now unbearable. “I can’t hear you.” He signed jerkily, one hand still clawing at the implants. Cisco’s implants were so well designed that they fit perfectly, Hartley not being able to yank them out.

@col-rick-flagg, @fransciscoramon, @notpurple-violet

Rick huffed with each passing second. He had every vein throbbing as he tried to contain the beams internal security. He pressed into the beam, glancing at the woman, gritting his teeth,” I could use a superpowered bastard to seal this or something.” The beam gave way a little, resulting in him pressing harder into the block.” but it would be most helpful to get everyone out of the way.”

@rathawayxhartley   @fransciscoramon

“Shit.” Cisco realizing quickly that there was a definite flaw with his invention. Cisco balled his fist and circling it on his chest, signing “Sorry.” Cisco’s eyes darted across the room as the debris kept falling here and there, and he could see figures standing at the entrance. “I need you to come with me. Somewhere safer.” Cisco signed sloppily, his ASL not fluent. He didn’t want Hartley standing in the open, where something could fall without him hearing, as well as so he was a bit further away from the frequencies Cisco eminated when he used his powers. There wasn’t a chance they’d make it out of here without using his powers.

Barry had gone off to find Felicity and Violet had been trying to get her brother’s attention without his man friend noticing. After much eye contact and pointing, Cisco finally followed her out to the lobby where it was quieter. She was just about to question him and why he hadn’t been paying attention to her all night when there was a sudden crash as it seemed like the world imploded, glass showering everywhere. She instinctively ducked and reached out for Cisco. Men were shouting and it some sheetrock was raining down from the ceiling, making it impossible to see.

@rathawayxhartley@fransciscoramon, @col-rick-flagg

Hartley felt mildly annoyed that Cisco would leave him, even if it was just for a moment but sipped on his drink, keeping watch for his parents defensively. When he heard the frequency before an explosion, he started running towards the lobby where Cisco had disappeared. He made it halfway in before the glass started raining down and his ear devices tripped, unleashing an agonizing shriek. He let out a scream and clawed at his ears, the panic completely taking over his body.

@fransciscoramon, @col-rick-flagg, @notpurple-violet

Rick walked off to get some air from the stuffy twats. He was
contemplating leaving early and getting a drink, when he felt and then
heard the crashes. He threw his arm above his head, blocking any debris
that came down. rick did take stock of the room, a few people there, by
most importantly the support beam was about to break, thus crushing a
good part of the room and he had momentary concerns for maybe two people
there. The man took off, running towards the beams. He crossed his
arms, activating the gauntlets up his sleeves. The devices kicked in,
spreading the exoskeleton to his shoulders and finger tips. He let loose
a howl, wrapping his arms around the beam, using the amplified strength
to keep the roof intact.

Cisco followed his sister into the room and could almost feel a change in the air before the explosion went off. His first instinct was to protect those around him, so he practically threw his body over Violet’s head. He heard Hartley’s shriek and it was gut wrenching. Rick ran over and started holding the beam up, and Cisco hoped the man could sustain all the weight. He stuck a hand out and sent vibrations out, clearing a path toward Hartley. “It’s going to be okay, Vi. You stay here. If things fall, move, try and get clear of the debris. I’m going to go see if Hartley is okay.” He said, squeezing his sister’s hand before walking over to Hartley. “Hartley? You okay? What can I do to help?” He soothed, placing a gentle hand on Hart’s shoulder. Cisco was afraid the frequency of the explosions might have blown out the new earpieces he’d made for Hartley a few weeks ago.

Family {Len and Cisco and anyone else who wants to witness this hot mess}

leonardwynters:

Leonard had been enjoying the evening. And then he spotted Cisco. He tried to ignore the kid. It was a public place, and the things he wanted to say were things that should be spoken of in private. But then he saw Cisco smiling, laughing, having a good time with Hartley.

Not that there was anything wrong with Hartley. Good kid. But Cisco had hurt Lisa, had never apologized for it. He had been one of the few people Lisa trusted, and he’d thrown that in her face. Not to mention he’d managed to destroy parts of the city, kill dozens of people, and yet here he was, hanging out a party, acting like there wasn’t a care in the world, while Lisa was in a coma.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Snarts were never lucky. Len had learned long ago the world wasn’t fair.

“Hello, Cisco,” Leonard said as he stopped beside the kid. The words were friendly enough, but the tone was cold enough to drop the temperature a few degrees. It was taking all his self-control to not punch the stupid kid in the face. “You never did get back to me about being a Rogue. I’m almost disappointed.”

@fransciscoramon

“Snart.” Cisco nodded towards the man, taking a stap away to maintain his personal bubble. “I never contacted you about being a rogue. Why would I want to be a rogue? I’m not a baddie.” He questioned, his face twisting in confusion.

rathawayxhartley:

Hartley laughed as he came up behind Cisco, nervously straightening his suit and brushing his hand against Cisco’s. “Thank you for inviting me.”

A smile spread across Cisco’s face as he felt the warm hand brush against his own. He turned to Hartley and the smile grew even wider. “Thank you for coming, really. I think I was about to go insane.”
