“Hey, look at me.” Whatever he’s seen, it seemed to have affected him. Part of Jay feels bad for him and he was on the receiving end of his abilities last time. “Cisco? I need you to talk to me. If you saw me, I’m not mad at you or anything.” He had been somewhat annoyed, but that had passed. He didn’t know the full story on why Cisco was acting like he did previously, so he couldn’t judge him.

“No, but you’d probably mad at what I just saw happen in the vibe.” Cisco still couldn’t face the man. “I- I’m sorry, Jay.”

Hartley sighed and bottled up his pride, snuggling up awkwardly to Cisco. “I don’t sleep unless I take my pills but I guess I could try to sleep while you watch the movie.”

“Yeah, okay.” Cisco said, patting his leg. “The pillows out here are nonexistant. Use my leg. It’s better than nothing. Here, I’ll turn the movie down.” He said, grabbing the remote and turning it down a few clicks.

e2jaygarrick:

He’s not sure what it going on. Cisco hasn’t let him go yet and Jay is staring at him in confusion. He never knew how strong Reverb’s power were. He only knew he had the ability to create some sort of vibrations to knock people on their asses and Jay had gone out of his way to come up with a plan to combat that. He had been messing around with his helmet when he noticed hitting it at super speed created sonic blasts of it’s own. It took a lot of trial and error to learn what his helmet could and couldn’t do. He learned he could toss it at someone’s face and knock them out pretty quickly. He also learned he could use it as a shield to keep Deathstorm’s fireballs from hitting him.

“Cisco?” He couldn’t stop the bag from hitting the ground. “What did you see?” He knew about the kid’s power, but he wasn’t sure just how deep he was capable of looking when it came to his powers. Had he seen Zoom? Had he seen Reverb? Had he seen himself? “Cisco, you gotta talk to me.”

Cisco hugged his knees with his forehead resting on them. He couldn’t look at the man before him. Not after what he’d just seen. “I- I Can’t.” He stuttered, biting the inside of his cheek.

Barry really was having a lot of trouble not crying anymore about the fact that Cisco believed himself so dangerous, or the fact that he might actually be a danger to those around him. He’d caused this too, and he just swallowed thickly and nodded. “I won’t tell her the code. And I’ll get out of your hair. If you need anything, just shout. I’m keeping your end of the intercom on in the lab so I’ll here you, and I’ll be here most nights all night, so don’t be afraid to shout.”

“Thank you Barry, really. I can’t imagine what anyone else might have done had Oliver not brought me in when he did. You guys are trusting me, even though I can’t remember a thing. So thanks.” Cisco said with a smile, really grateful that his friend was taking him in so wholeheartedly.

Carter glared at the man and holstered his mace,  grabbing a few of his throwing knives and flung them at him. It was one thing to insult him, but to talk about his beloved that way? No, the man needed to learn a lesson. Unfortunately for Cisco, Carter had learned many over the years.

As the blades flew he charged, grabbing his mace and yelling as he rushed the youth. It wouldn’t be a fair fight for most people, but considering his opponent had superpowers it was fair enough. With a loud growl he swung his mace down, wanting to end this quickly.

Cisco dodged the knives, expecting that to be the only thing coming for him. Next thing he knew, there was a spiked mace flying toward him. Cisco ducked out of the way, but he was too slow. The mace hit him on the outside of his middle back, and he felt as it tore through his sweatshirt, and then as it broke skin. He grunted as he pushed Carter off him and sent vibrations out before running the opposite direction.

He knew that he couldn’t fight the man back at this pace. His back ached as he ran, and he felt the warmth of his blood saturating the layers of his clothes. After he ran about a half mile, Cisco stopped to check the damage done. “Shit,” was all he said as he ran the rest of the way to his apartment to patch up.

e2jaygarrick:

“No. I’m probably several years older than you are. I wouldn’t have been in college at the same time.” Besides, he went to college on Earth-2. His eyebrow raises at Cisco before he laughs. “I’m from an Earth parallel to this one.” He disappears before the kid has a chance to say anything, though. Honestly, Jay is starving (that seems to be something he’s always dealing with these days), and Big Belly Burger is more than enough to get him out of Star Labs and down the street. The rush of wind causes people to stare, but he doesn’t think too much on it. He forgets these people aren’t aware of seeing a speedster without a mask. He pays for the food, fingers wrapping around both bags as he rushes back to Star Labs. He’s been gone less than five minutes (the food has to cook) and he’s handing the bag to Cisco once he’s able too. “Barry and I have have the same abilities. You’re welcome.” He gestures at the food with his hand, still waiting for Cisco to grab it.

Cisco pushed his hair from his face as the man was gone in a gust of wind. As he was gone, he racked his brain thinking about what Jay had said. “Parallel Earth? You loco, bro?” He responded as the man came back with food. He reached out and grabbed the bag through the open door, his hand touching Jay’s. He was taken aback by the force of the Vibe.

It started off strong. A dark alleyway, Jay on one side and a man covered in shadows wearing glasses. Who wears sunglasses at night, anyway? Cisco asked himself. The next thing he knew, Jay was on the ground and he heard yelling. He couldn’t place the voice, though. It was so familiar, yet so foreign at the same time. Jay was back on his feet, and then knocked back down. The man in the shadows stepped into the light and it hit him like a freight train. He was the man in the shadows.

Cisco snapped out of the vibe and stumbled backward into the wall of his cell. “No. This can’t be.” The bag fell from his hand and he curled in on himself.

Violet grinned back at him and leaned back on his pillow, looking around the pipeline. “I’ve only been down here once. It’s pretty crazy that you guys kept people against their will down here in an illegal prison.”

“Hey, we fed them, made sure they were well taken care of. Iron Heights couldn’t have handled them even if they wanted to. They were criminals, Vi. We weren’t going to let them run rampant through the streets of Central City.” Cisco said, tucking his legs under him as he felt more open to talk to his sister. “We aren’t completely unethical.”
