Violet nodded, reaching in her pocket and pulling out a purple key, holding it up against the glass for him to see. “Don’t try remembering too much, alright? It’s not important. What’s important is that you are everything that I wanted to be when I first started trying to track you down. You have never let me down and you have never disappointed me. I’ve never had a family until I met you. And yeah I thought you were a terrorist at first. But I love you, Cisco. You’ve never hurt me and I don’t think you ever will.”

As Violet spoke, Cisco rested his forehead on his knees, not wanting his little sister to see him cry. The tears fell quickly. He’d never had one of his family members tell him he wasn’t a disappointment. He hadn’t heard a truly genuine ‘I love you’ in a long time from his own blood. Cisco was at a loss for words, and he kept his head down, avoiding her gaze.

He’s never heard of something like this happening before. Perhaps it’s just Cisco’s way of keeping the bad things he’s done out of the picture. His only run-in with Cisco didn’t end well, and he didn’t want to repeat it if he didn’t need to. “Hey, it’s alright.” He may not know Cisco personally, but that doesn’t mean he won’t listen to him. “We’ve met before, actually.” He doesn’t want to give the boy an even bigger headache, so he doesn’t push the subject much. “Are you hungry or something? I can run and grab you some food.” He’s pretty sure he’s ate already, but being helpful is the only thing he can truly offer right now. “Are you asking me if I’m an alien?” His eyebrow arches, an amused laugh leaving him. “I’m not an alien, or from space – I promise. Are you familiar with the breaches in the city? I’m from an Earth parallel to this one. Where I come from, I have Barry’s job.”

“I know. We met in college or something, right?” Cisco said, dropping his hand from his head. “Actually, I kinda am. Any chance you wanna make a run to Big Belly Burger and get me two triple triples and an orange soda?” He smiled as if he were begging, almost expecting to be turned down, but he had some hope. “That’s what an alien would say, Jay.” Cisco teased.

“Cisco you need to stop putting stress on your mind,” she wrapped her arms around his, using her legs to push them back to an upright position. “I need to take your vitals and you need to relax. Do you think you can walk out of the pipeline, if not I’ll call Jay to help you out of here.”

“Why can’t I remember?” Cisco asked, almost frantically. As she helped him sit up, he sighed. “I can walk,” He said, leaning against the wall of the cell to boost himself up. “Kind of. My leg is asleep, but I’m good otherwise. Lead the way, Cait.”

“I heard all about the stuff you did but listen. Do you even remember talking to me? You were pretty out of it then. But you didn’t hurt me. You hugged me and you lied but you didn’t hurt me. I trust you, even now. Even knowing what you supposedly did. You won’t hurt me.”

“Vaguely.” Cisco muttered, squeezing his eyes shut and massaging his temple. “If I try remembering, I just get a massive migraine. Purple Key?” He spit out, blinking slowly as he saw spots. “Why do you still trust me, after all this time? After one of our first meetings and you being sent to the hospital. After this. Time after time I just disappoint. It bound to come around again.”

“Because i’d rather be flattered than not?” Hartley huffed, sighing sulkily before settling in, clearly not paying attention to the movie at all but also clearly enjoying the affection. He was silent for a little bit, letting Cisco watch the movie. “Have you had sex with a man? Actually, have you had sex with a woman? Answer both please.”

“Whatever you say, Hartley.” Cisco smirked. “That information is for me to know and for you to never find out.” His gaze never left the television as he snuggled closer to Hartley.

Violet shook her head. “I believe that’s saving me, and that’s all that matters alright? You’re my big brother and you saved me and I love you and nothing is going to change that. If it was up to me, I’d be in there with you. And I will be in there with you as soon as Barry gets down here because I want to keep you company and hug you for my own selfish gain.”

“You really shouldn’t though. Barry told me I did some pretty terrible stuff. All of which I don’t remember. Vi, I don’t even remember the last 3 weeks. I barely remember calling Len to go save you. I don’t want to hurt you, Vi. I’m afraid if these doors open and-” His voice cracked and he stopped. “I don’t know what I’d do if I hurt you.”

Hartley pouted for a minute before shrugging. “I guess I’ll just choose to be flattered.” He scooted back towards Cisco and looked at him pointedly so that he’d put his arms around his shoulders again.

“Why would you choose to be flattered when I wasn’t trying to flatter you?” Cisco asked, quite confused. He put his arm back around the other man’s shoulders and turning his attention back to the movie.
