“Well I guess I know the safe place to go with after shocks”, she joked, despite knowing that the shaking was something that just didn’t quite bother her the same as others. “I worked in STAR Labs fresh out of college, just before the explosion. But I was mostly in the computer department”, she explained, drawing the sleeves of her sweatshirt over her hands.

“Wait, computers? We probably worked together a time or two then, huh? Sorry, I suck at remembering names and faces.” Cisco said, rubbing the nape of his neck. “So, you down for some coffee and maybe some company? There’s also some pretty cool tech I’ve been dying to show someone who will appreciate it.” He said with a smile.

Reagan arched a brow, fighting off the chuckle that he seemed to bring out so effortlessly. “Still not able to do the whole talking thing? Wait you’re kidding me right? STAR Labs not only survives the explosion, the black hole, and now the earthquake?”, she chuckled, recalling all her days wandering through the halls once she couldn’t take staring at code anymore. “You don’t remember me do you?”

“Not Kidding. I swear that building is indestructable.” Cisco said with a laugh. “Yeah, words and I aren’t quite the best of friends. I don’t, sorry. Where would I know you from?”

The Walls of my Town (Come Crumbling Down) || Cisco and Eobard

themaninthelightning:

The steady tap-tap-tap of his makeshift cane let Cisco know that Eobard was moving further into the room. There were bits and pieces of assuredly astonishing tech scattered across the floor. At any other time, Eobard would be keenly interested in examining each piece, because any mechanical invention from Cisco’s hands was guaranteed to be genius. The fact that Cisco was also ignoring them, leaving them messy and battered, was a major indicator of his distress.

Cisco sounded uncharacteristically muted. The young man was clearly convinced of his guilt. Eobard gave him a few moments of silence in reply, realizing that he wouldn’t easily rally Cisco toward a solution. Had to be more circumspect in his approach. “Can you tell me what happened?” he asked instead, leaning against a nearby desk, careful to maintain a few feet of distance between him and Cisco. He remembered well that getting close only created more tension.

“It was all a blur. There was this darkness inside me that reminded me of some things that made this redhot anger bubble up inside of me while I was testing out my powers before Bar and Patty got here. Then the anger just boiled over and things started shaking, and I took cover under the desk in the cortex.” Cisco babbled, his voice cracking here and there with the dryness of his throat from crying. “Then, Bar and Patty got here and a cabinet fell on her, and Gah! I can’t forgive myself for what I’ve done. I’ll never be able to. Do you remember how to work the pipeline? Someone has to work it from the outside.” He was implying that he needed to be locked up, this darkness was taking over his life, and the light felt like it might never shine through.

Cisco lifted his head and looked at the ruin around him before looking up at Eobard. There were dark circles under his eyes, and there was a distinct redness that covered his entire face. “This isn’t something that can be forgiven. I shouldn’t still be here. I should be off where I can’t hurt anyone.”

themanbeneaththehood:

“What’s going on, Cisco?”

“Well, if you haven’t noticed, we’re standing in the ruins of Central City,” He joked before looking up at Oliver’s face. “Too soon?” Oliver scared him more than he’d like to admit, and the look the man was giving him was the scariest he’d seen. “What makes you think I know anything? If you need me, I’ll be walking back to STAR Labs…”

“You worry too much.  Don’t bother with it.”  Barry took a breath, then pushed at the cabinet until Patty was free.  It made his dizziness worse, but he just leaned on the wall a moment once it was done, letting Cisco comfort Patty.  Looking at the two, he nodded and walked out of the room, though he simply headed down the hall to put on his suit.  The Flash could get Patty to a hospital and then he’d do his best to help people.

Patty stared ahead at the ceiling, like this was going to allow herself to brace for what every consequences were coming her way after the cabinet was lifted off of her body. When the weight was quite literally lifted off of her chest, she did her best to use her arms to slide out from under the weight. A tear fell down her cheek as she nodded over at Cisco. “I really hope so, I don’t think I can do much good out of commission”, she attempted to joke, flashing a weak smile.

“It is all going to be okay. You’re a strong woman, Patty. Bar just ran out to flag down some emergency crews, he’ll make sure you’re all taken care of.” Cisco said with a reassuring smile. Hurry up, Bar. He thought as he comforted Patty. “Just keep talking to me, hey, how was work today?”

“Have you spoken to Barry or Caitlin? The best you can do is find somewhere stable to hang by in and wait till we know if things are clear. Power lines are down everywhere and it’s going to be a gritty period before we are back on line. It’s all about foot action now,” he sighed softly. Oliver noted the apprehension in Cisco, it was suspicious to say the least.

“Barry and I were in STAR Labs with Patty when it happened, I haven’t heard from Cait. The lab is in suprisingly good shape. It’s sustained both an explosion and an earthquake now. Yeah, we all know I’m no good with foot action,” Cisco said with a forced laugh as he wiggled his fingers.

“Look, I can help you out but you need to know that I am not what caused this Earthquake”, she warned the person in front of her, wary of offering any more assistance and triggering something more. But unable to sit around and do nothing with the city in shambles.

“I know you didn’t cause it,” Cisco said. “I don’t need help, but do you? I have a warm place with warm drinks and food if you want it.” He looked down at the young girl. “Wait, I just realized how totally creepy that sounded. It’s my workplace, STAR Labs. It held up suprisingly well during the earthquake.”

a-multiverse-apart:

It was still a chore to walk straight after everything that happened. Zaark felt like a broken machine, like she could be fixed but would probably never work quite right ever again. Hopefully this didn’t mean the Board would put her on stand-by. She rather liked this Earth. Speaking of which…

Zaark could hear the quiet but forceful exclamations in the alley, the voice familiar, and familiarly depreciating, though she knew it still wouldn’t be the same man she meet so long ago. But he was close enough. “Cisco? My friend, is that you? What are you doing here, this is no time to be alone. Please, come with me. I could use the company too.”

“Zaark, heh, hey!” Cisco sighed happily, glad to see a familiar face. “What are you doing out here? It’s probably not the safest, there could be aftershocks.” He said, walking to the woman and pushing the negative thoughts to the back of his mind. “Let’s go back to STAR labs, I can make us something warm to drink and find some warm clothes for you.”
