Text:  We’ll be right over buddy.

Barry and Patty were in the middle of a conversation when he received the text from Cisco, so it was easy enough to hope in Patty’s car and drive over to STAR labs.  They’d just gotten inside when suddenly the ground began to shake and chaos surrounded them.  Tech was falling, and Barry did his best to steady himself on the wall before turning to look at Patty. “Find some cover!!!!”  Barry was about to speed run her to safety when suddenly the shelves and cabinets started tipping, one catching Barry off balance and pushing him to the side.

Staring at the never ending white and black scribbled across each page was only starting to give her the biggest migraine, so when Barry walked in with that usual grin, Patty felt relief at the distraction. Just another reason why she was very happy to drive him to STAR labs for whatever it was he needed to do. Out in the real world and away from everything that was brewing just beneath the surface for young Patty Spivot. Plus, never hurt to feed into that science geek deep within and observe just a bit of what went on behind the scenes at the infamous STAR labs.

The shaking was not something to expect, practically knocking Patty off balance and into a near by desk. The blow knocked the wind from her, each breath felt like it was blocked by her own muscles contracting and betraying her. That was the least of her worries as glass shattered around her and the entire room felt as if it was being turned on it’s side. Something jagged caught her arm, but she continued to fight for her balance and breath. It was a fight that was soon lost.

A creaking noise drew her attention, but events played out before Patty could react at all. Something near by and heavy had fallen on top of her, pinning her legs and arm beneath it’s weight. She couldn’t tell exactly what it was with the way her head spun. Attempting to look for the males in the room, Patty groaned out in pain. “Cisco, Barry, are you alright?”, she called out, more concerned for the wellbeing of her counterparts than her own.

Cisco was watching as things fell around him, and he heard voices. “Take cover! Everything is falling, I don’t know what is going on!” He lied as he heard a crash come from where he has heard Barry and Patty come in. Things were just about done shaking and falling, and Cisco felt it was safe to come out from his hiding spot. “Patty? Is that you? Are you and Barry okay?” He said, stepping over debris to get to where the voice was coming from.

He pulled out his phone and sent Barry a quick text.

[text]: Hey, I have a sweet piece of tech I want to show you and Patty. Can you stop by when you’re done with your stuff?

: Seriously. It’s soo cool. I can’t wait to see your face when I show you.

Cisco made sure the Flash suit was in his lab, there were upgrades that he was way behind on. He turned and loked at the piece of tech that sat on his desk. He was so proud of it, and he was anxious to show it to the duo.

He was milling about STAR Labs, excited that Caitlin had finally left for the day so he could test his powers again before Barry got there with Patty. He looked forward to this moment each day, despite questioning himself whether he should continue doing it. His recent encounters with Eobard had been inhabiting his thoughts, and he couldn’t get rid of them. As he thought about them, the anger bubbled inside of him as he stuck a hand out and sent vibrations out of his fingertips, sending his desk chair hurling into a cabinet. Things crashed down, and Cisco immediately wished he had waited to start trying out his powers once more. He shrugged it off and let the little bit of darkness that was inside of him spread. The darkness that has slowly been leaking its way into his life. He turned back to his desk and slammed his hands down, screaming out in frustration, knowing this darkness was bad.

The anger continued  bubble up inside, and his blood was boiling. He focused his energy into his feet and sent all the anger that was inside out through his feet. The ground began to shake, and Cisco lost his footing as things simultaneously began to fall around him. He quickly crawled under his desk and watched as his beloved tech rained down around him.

“What have I done?”

Return to the City |OPEN STARTER

wings-and-reincarnation:

Kendra Saunders inhaled deeply. Central City seemed so different now. Everything was now that she was Hawkgirl. It still made her wanted to laugh, it seemed so impossible. She headed into Jitters to get a flash, she had to admit, she missed it.

Sitting a table, she took it all in, it wasn’t too long ago this was her job.

“Kendra?” His jaw all but hit the floor. Cisco was speechless.

…when skies are grey|Lisa and Cisco

lisa-snart:

It had been a few weeks since she had faced off against Eobard Thawne and had her world ripped out from under her. It took her this long to start to want to communicate again.

It took three days to stop disassociating, another two to start to feel again. She had finally built herself up to this moment. To reach out to him. She knew Cisco was alright but not much else. That’s what was important to her, knowing her sunshine survived. He may not want to see her but she needed to see him.

She shot off a text as she began to get ready for the day. Carefully applying her make up, doing her hair. She chose a white shirt, tight pants, her usual. What was new was the ring on hand, the one from Len. The one that meant so much more than anyone would know. But this was different. She needed to see Cisco again, his smile, his joy. Just his very being would make her feel better.

[text] Sunshine, I need to see you. Jitters in 10?

Then she waited, starting at the black screen to light and the soft melody to play ‘you are my sunshine’.

[text] ive missed you cant wait to see you there

He had been waiting on a call or text from Lisa for a while, and everytime his phone went off, he was disappointed when it wasn’t her. He understood, though. Sometimes you just gotta give the people you love some space.

As soon as he sent the text, he threw some pants on and practically ran to Jitters, getting a booth in the back for them. As he sat, watching the door, his leg bounced. Why was he so anxious?

lisa-snart:

“I miss you, isn’t that important enough?” Lisa inquired, grinning at him. And she did, it had been too long since she had seen her sunshine. His smile combined with the removal of his hoodie had her heart skipping a beat, not that she would admit it.

“How are you doing, Sunshine?”

“Oh sweet, that’s so important.” He grinned. “But you could’ve worded the text differently. ‘I need you, it’s urgent’ is different from ‘I miss you’.” He said with a grin. “I could’ve made food for you and we could have cuddled.”

CUDDLES, Lisa. Cuddles!” He said, putting a hand on her shoulder. “I’m good though. How is my sweet golden glider doing?”

azul-scarab:

“Well, shit. Hot chocolate, while awesome, has become a bit vanilla. But drinks, hell yea.” Jaime said with a laugh. “Jaime, nice to meet ya, Cisco.”

“Hot chocolate is greeat, but it’s even better with some alcohol and peppermint. Tastes like Christmas.” He smiled. Welcome to central city, Jamie! It’s a pretty busy city, so be careful what crowds you mix in with.” Cisco warned him with a smile. The young man seemed nice, and as always, he wanted to see people succeed in all that they’d do.
