“I would advise against that, unless you got someone to tie you down and release you. And what if you have to pee, what if there’s a fire? I can’t stay here every night,” she teased gently.
She headed to the kitchen and began to root through his fridge and grabbed the aforementioned bacon. The box of pancake mix was in the cabinet. She found chocolate chips in the freezer and grinned. He would have a chocolate stash.
It had been a long time since she had prepared a meal for someone that wasn’t Len. She usually only cooked for him. Assembling the mix she set to work, making an even stack for both of them, adding the chocolate as it cooked. In a second pan she started the bacon, not the whole pack, just enough for them to have a few pieces. She made up two plates, a happy warmth filled her as she called to him. “Breakfast is on sunshine!”
“You could totally stay every night, if you want. I can turn the office into a spare bedroom or something. Or we could just cuddle.” He grinned as he passed by, grabbing the broom from the closet to sweep the mirror shards up. “You found my chocolate stash, I see? Now don’t go eating all of it, that’s all I have until the next time I go grocery shopping.” He ducked into the bathroom and got to work on the mess he had made.
Dumping the glass shards into the bathroom trash bin, a smile broke out across his face as he heard Lisa call him to breakfast. Sunshine. He sighed happily and leaned the broom against the wall before skipping out to the kitchen. Without thinking, he walked up to the woman, picked up a plate, and gave her a peck on the lips. “Thanks, sweet! Smells great!”
