lisa-snart:

“You
will have to explain to me, one day soon.” she promised him and leaned
down and pressed her lips to his temple. She curled her body around his,
spooning him tight. She had a vague memory of Len doing that to and she
had never felt safer. She only hoped Cisco could start to rest easier
now. Against her better judgement, she found herself falling asleep,
lulled by his arm body.

When
she opened her eyes the sunlight was streaming in. Shit, she had fallen
asleep. Gently untangling from Cisco she crept from the room. After
using the bathroom and cleaning up the glass from the floor, she began
to poke around. Grabbing a book on Star Trek Federation ships, something
fell at her feet. She couldn’t believe it, it was the blue prints for the cold gun. She quickly folded it up and shoved it into her bra.

There was no guilt about taking it but she did lean in the doorway to see how Cisco was sleeping. Maybe she would make him breakfast…or maybe not.

Cisco closed his eyes as he felt Lisa curl around him. He felt safe to fall asleep for the first time in weeks. Consciousness slipped from him, and he was sound asleep in minutes.

He was gently woken up as he felt the warmth leave from behind him, feeling unsafe now that he was alone. He rubbed his eyes, not remembering Lisa fall asleep behind him. The whole night was a blur, really. Everything but the nightmares. “Hey Lis? Did I do anything weird last night?” He hollered, not knowing if she was still there. He looked over to the door to see her standing watching him. “Oh hey.” He smiled.

Lisa followed closely behind Cisco, hands up on either side of his arms to catch him in case he fell or something. He still seemed wobbily but it wasn’t the power she saw. As he crawled into bed, she stood over him or a bit before sliding in next to him. Spooning around him, she could feel his body shaking.

“God, Cisco, what happened? I need to know. Please,” she traced her fingers down his cheek. “Let me help you. I’ll I’ve put together someone hurt you. Who did this? I’ve been in your place and I know what this is like and I may not be able to face my demon but I’ll stare down the devil if it helps you. And I don’t care what you can do, you’re still my sexy and smart Cisco.”

And she meant it, she had been in his place, she knew what it was like. Unfortunately she had no one to help her through it, Len had left and she all alone against her father. She had planned to sneak out in the early morning when he was sleeping but now she couldn’t bring herself to.

Now shaken by what just happened, she knew she wouldn’t be sleeping. Once he was sleeping again she would go back to poking around. But for now, she knew he needed her.

“Alternate timelines, not important. Don’t worry. I’ll handle it when the time comes.” He grabbed a pillow and hugged it tight, feeling safe again with Lisa by his side.

“What in the hell is going on? I was supposed to meet with this asshole and I come to their place and its trashed on the outside. Now he’s…” he glanced over at Snart who was way out of it. “Is he drunk or stoned?”

Either way it was up to Mark to drag his ass where it needed to be. Glancing around he saw the med bay and fought the urge to drag Snart there by his ankles. Instead he hefted the other man up and slung him over his shoulder.Carrying him to the med bay, he played him on the table as Cisco ran for another desk.

“What the hell have you gotten yourself into and where is your Sister?” he muttered, looking down at the unconscious man and sighed wearily.

“Neither. He’s been through a lot. Don’t sass me, Mardon.” Cisco said, walking back toward the man. “I concocted somewhat of an antidote. It should counteract the neurotoxins that are in Len’s system.” He pushed past Mardon to get to Len, shoving the man’s shoulder a little harder than he should have.

Cisco stuck the man in the leg and pushed the plunger down. “Here ya go, Lenny boy. This will make things better.” He smiled as he pulled the needle out of the man and stuck it in a sharps container. “Wait.” He said, turning to Mardon and crossing his arms. “What the hell are you doing here?”
