“I did!”  Barry caught the box, both elated and terrified.  He’d been able to have a kid?!  It was amazing, and with the woman he loved.  However, the timing was poor and he knew Vi would likely be freaking out.  Especially since she hadn’t told him.  “Cisco, I don’t know how this happened, but…it’ll be okay, alright?  You know I wouldn’t ever abandon her or something over this!  We’ll just…we’lll just have to plan for it.  Make sure she’s extra protected and not in any danger or hurt and doctor’s offices and….wow.”  He sat down, his thoughts running between joy and panic.

“You can’t tell Violet I told you. She’ll probably kill me.” He sighed, leaning against one of the posts on the patio. “You better keep her safe, Barry. Hell, we can lock her away if it means she’ll be safe from all this.”

“Revenge plan?”  Barry cocked his head, having not heard of anything like that out of his friend before.  “What’s that?”

“You know, how I plan to buy the other share of the lab, take it awaya from Thawne and the university.” Cisco lied. He was lying so often lately, it had just become natural. “Hey, do you want to help me train? I wanna show you something.”

“I’m glad you approve,” she told him as she wandered back to the living room.

Glancing at the clock, she had about 10 minutes until the pizza should arrive. She grabbed some napkins and some waters and brought them to the bedroom. He was flipping through the channels, seemingly obeying her for now. She wondered how long that would last. He was like a mischievous little elf who was constantly pressing her. Usually she would have a more violent reaction to such insolence but he was too damn cute.

A knock on the door drew her from her thoughts and she hurried to the door. It was getting late and she hadn’t eaten. Though she has no plans for the day, she didn’t expect to end up hanging out with Cisco.

Paying the man, and tipping him well, she gathered the boxes and brought them to him. “Dinner.” She announced and began to dig in.

“How could I not approve? It’s my shirt on a beautiful woman. I have no objections.” He grinned, grabbing a bottle of water as Lisa walked back in. “Thanks, by the way.” Cisco gave the woman a soft smile before she answered the door. As she was out, he grabbed few painkillers Cait had given him to help with his headaches and his lack of sleep that had come along with his nightmares.

“Oooh! Smells good.” He smiled, grabbing some pizza and taking a few bites of it. He didn’t realize how hungry he was unti lhe finished his first piece of pizza in practically seconds. He also didn’t realize how fast this medication kicked in, as he was feeling his eyelids get heavier with each time he blinked.

Cisco was worried about him? That was kind of sweet. Len didn’t know what to say to all that, so he just pushed himself up on his elbows, to take a quick assessment of how he felt. Tired, sore. His head ached. The burns…well they burned. And his ribs stung like a wicked bitch. All that, and it was still an improvement over how he’d felt a while ago.

“I’m…I’m ok. A little foggy still. Sore. Any luck with the tests?” Cisco had his phone still, and there wasn’t a clock in the room. Len had no idea how long he’d been out. It grated on him that he’d rested at all, when Lisa was out there. But he couldn’t just run in, cold gun or not. Whoever was after him was organized and clearly powerful. Lisa could be in even more danger if he ran in without some sort of plan.

His stomach growled, and he grimaced. He hadn’t eaten breakfast in his hast to track down Cisco and get some help. “D’you have any food? It’s been a while.”

“The tests are still going. Looks like they’ll be done soon. Does the name Larisa Mikhailov mean anything to you?” Cisco asked, stepping back over to where the disassembled gun sat. “I think that’s our best bet going forward.” He paused. “Yeah, I just ordered pizza not too long ago. Should be here soon.”

runaway-griffin:

“It wouldn’t surprise me.  Everyone Vi knows is superpowered, so why not you.”  Griffin wasn’t buying it, mainly because the other hadn’t looked at him when he said it.  “Even if you were, whatever.  Not like it does anything but make you even more special and amazing.  Then again, you think it’s just an earthquake, so whatever.”  The thief held the other’s eyes, figuring he’d get the hints before turning to walk back towards his apartment.

“Why are you even still talking to Violet? I thought you guys had some sort of fight. Also, weren’t you two together at some point? Didn’t you know it’s not good to stay friends with your exes?” Cisco rambled, staring the man down. “Aw, you think I’m special and amazing? Thanks, Griff!”

always-going-faster:

“Yes, and to my knowledge she is.  Wh…”  Barry’s eyes widened at the pregnancy test, running a hand up to grip his hair.  “Vi…Violet’s pregnant?”

“It sure as hell looks like it, doesn’t it?” Cisco said, throwing the box at the man. “I can’t believe this. Why wouldn’t you use protection, even if she is on the pill?” Cisco looked down to see his hands balled up, his knuckles white from the grip.

Even though he recognized the voice, Len was having a hard time gathering his thoughts. He couldn’t think of any reason anyone other than Lisa would be near him while he slept. He was alarmed, and a little pissed off. It was difficult, but Len managed to pry his eyes open, ready to fight whoever was so close to him without his permission. His body was otherwise inclined, a sudden, overall ache settling over him as awareness grew, his head throbbing at the sudden light.

He winced and turned his head to the side, trying to make sense of how and why he felt like crap. As his eyes cleared, he saw that it was Cisco who was beside him. Most of his anger melted away, to be replaced by confusion.

“What the hell, Cisco?” Len asked, voice hoarse, mind bleary from sleep. “What are you doing here? Why are you…why are we holding hands?”

Cisco was wandering about the lab, trying to pass the time as the tests were run. Len was sleeping in the medbay, and he was way too quiet for Cisco’s comfort. He walked over to the man and stood a few feet from the bed, watching the (extremely) slow rise and fall of the man’s chest. Just to be sure he was still alive, Cisco took a few steps toward the man, closing the gap between them. He took Len’s hand into his own, running through the steps Caitlin taught him on how to take a pulse. He was so focused on finding the man’s pulse, he didn’t realize he had stirred.

“Oh Len, Hey!” Cisco said, flopping the man’s hand to wave. “I was checking your pulse. You were sleeping too soundly for my comfort.” He said, realizing he was still holding the man’s hand. He gentle placed Len’s hand on his chest and took a few steps away. “Feeling better?”

Lisa couldn’t believe him, what balls! Just thinks it’s ok to kiss her?! Ok, it was Cisco, she really didn’t mind. She couldn’t help but smile, leaning down she gave him another quick kiss. “Ok, that’s enough of that. You need to stop being cheeky. You never know what’s going to happen, Roscoe might come back for round two or my brother might want kick your ass for kissing me, again.” she teased.

Climbing off of him she grabbed her phone and searched for the closest pizza place. She ordered three small pizzas, a veggie, a meat and a cheese. Plus some wings and breadsticks. Cover all her bases, she knew she could polish it all off if he wasn’t hungry.

Glancing over at her shoulder at Cisco she shrugged. “Food’s ordered, be about 45 minutes. Take it easy until then. And Cisco, don’t ever underestimate me. I’m stronger than you know.” she assured him as she stood up. She flexed her muscles, trying not to laugh, and with that she began to flip through his closet.

Finding a well worn, long Star Labs T-Shirt, she pulled it off the hanger and went to change. She put her hair up and went to check in on Cisco. “You behaving Ramon?” she asked, leaning in the doorway.

His face went red after Lisa kissed him, celebrating this tiny victory in his head. “But I am cheeky. That’s what I do.” He said with a toothy grin. “I could probably take the guy, now that I know what he is capable of. Not gonna try, though.” Cisco sat up and reached across the bed to grab the television remote, clicking the TV on and began flipping throught the channels as Lisa changed.

“Yeah, sooooo strong.” He laughed. “No worries, I would never underestimate you, Lis.” When he heard her voice get closer, he turned and looked at her. A smile spread across his face as she stood in the doorway. “You look cute in my clothes, you know. It’s a good look on you.”
