a moderately active (2-5 posts/wk) main blog of a rpg i’m in had their account terminated for no reason. it was up and running 45min ago, now it’s gone.
“I know, baby. I know,” He said, turning back around in his seat and buckling his seatbelt. “But this isn’t something Daddy can fix at home,” he replied, pulling out his phone and calling the hospital, giving them warning of an incoming patient, much like he would do if he was on the clock. He hung up the phone and pulled out of the drive, making his way to the hospital. “We’ll call Mama when we get there okay?”
This was bizarre. Weirder than he’d ever seen. The man before him had the same face as him. How was it possible? It wasn’t, was it? Tom’s eyes were wide as he gazed upon the man before him. “You’re – you’re me? How–?”
Tom let go, moving his hands away from her arm as she cried out. “I know, baby girl, I know. Daddy’s gonna take care of you,” he cooed, his voice calm and comforting. He scooped her back up and moved swiftly to the car, buckling her in her car seat before jumping in the driver’s seat. He twisted his torso to look back at his daughter. “I know it hurts, but Daddy’s gonna take you to where he works, okay? Won’t that be fun?” He tried to distract his daughter with the excitement in his voice. “We’ll give Mama a call in a little bit, okay?”
He shushed her gently, hoping to calm her as he cleaned the cut. It had stopped bleeding for the most part, and Tom switched his attention to her arm. “Okay, honey. This might hurt, okay? Daddy’s gonna check your arm to see if we can fix it at home.” He knew very well the number of injuries in young children skyrocket when they are left unattended. As his fingers gentle prodded her arm, he felt the very thing that he wanted to avoid – a broken bone.
Also, just a quick dash boop about time for everyone kinda confused about what is perceived to be a CW fuck up:
Time is fluid
Unless the event has already happened it can change
If it’s already happened it has to remain the same in order to avoid creating a butterfly effect
Time does not cement instantly – it takes a bit & can be molded into something completely different
What you see as the future is only a POSSIBILITY – that does not mean it’s going to turn out that way
The Time Masters were destroyed … fate/destiny are no longer written by them. It’s anybodies game
You’ll notice in Legends 01 that Rip always begins with “a future where” because there’s a possibility that it won’t turn out this way
What you see when you peer into the future is subjective. Any one person can change the way it appears without creating a butterfly effect because it has not happened yet
IMPORTANT FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE: There are timelines that are considered TRUE ( real ) & there are some that are considered MIRAGE ( fluctuating, possible ). The ones that are TRUE are protected by the Legends & you will NOT be able to access/see them. The ones that are MIRAGE are the ones your character will likely see as they are the ones that can change.
Also, if you’re interested in writing/dabbling with time travel here are some possiblesymptoms of the experience ( some people are not impacted by time travel ):

Temporary blindness
Bleeding from eyes ( rare )
Triple vision
Blurriness in one eye
Time Drift
After spending too long in an alien time period, a person begins to lose their memories & becomes acclimatized to the alien period
Personality Rewrite
Should someone make contact with a Time Drive, the temporal electrocution will scatter that person in time but also rewrite their personalities & memories for the new period, suppressing old memories that resurface as dreams

Time Storm
incredibly cataclysmic space-time events caused by crossing your own timeline, however, time storms do not always occur when someone crosses their timeline

when you return to a time you’ve already visited
Time Wave
if an aberration is severe enough, an explosion of light will expand outward from the site of the aberration and hit the entire timeline, as well as the Temporal Zone. There will then be an immediate warping of reality according to the new timeline
As he held her close, he pursed his lips as he nodded in understanding. How could he have let this happen? Effortlessly he scooped her up, carrying her to the kitchen and setting her on the counter beside the sink.
