Tell me Everything ||Cisco&Vi

notpurple-violet:

Violet shrugged. “I just want to hear about your night, Cisco. You seem like you really like her. So I want to hear your side of the story first.”

Cisco felt as the alcohol began to make his mind a little fuzzy. “In all honesty, I don’t remember past the hotel room door closing. Woke up with a killer headache. Then we just talked.” He smiled, flagging the bartender for another.

“Uh? I meant, in general, changes.” Eobard stalled, wondering how much he dared to say. It was possible something had already happened to Cisco, but he thought it was just as likely that nothing ever would. However, he’d roused Cisco’s curiosity, which meant a temporary lapse in hostility from the younger man. Eobard caved to the urge to share the worry that had been in the back of his mind for over a year now. “No, I didn’t. I don’t mean to alarm you, but I’ve always suspected you might have been affected by the particle accelerator. Recent events,” –the failure of his plans, the loss of their trust– “have kept me from keeping a close an eye on possible developments.”

“Nothing really has changed, besides…” Cisco paused, deciding what he should tell the man. “Besides my drive to figure out what caused all the metahumans and how to counteract it all.” He smiled. “I’m just peachy, though. Made some cool tech, tested it, its great. Cisco grinned, remembering the gun he didn’t log into the STAR Labs database.

Helena laughed. “I had assumed as much.” She pulled him gently in closer to her and kissed him softly, cupping his cheeks and smiling. “Do you remember any of last night?”

“To be completely honest, I remember nothing past the hotel door closing. Before that, it was so foggy. I just went with the flow and didn’t fight it.” Cisco said, laughing nervously after he broke the kiss.

Eobard’s brow furrowed. He knew, from checking the S.T.A.R. Labs databases, that nothing had been invented that could slow him down. And Cisco didn’t have any powers–unless…

Ignoring both Cisco’s question and his demand, Eobard asked, “Have you noticed any changes in yourself lately?” He suspected that Cisco had been affected by the particle accelerator, but as far as he knew, Cisco had never shown any side effects.

“Changes? What sort of changes?” Cisco said, cocking his head to the side. Although he wanted Thawne gone, the new interest intrigued him. Why does he care what happened to me? Cisco thought to himself as he sat back down at his desk.

“Oh god.” She touched the bruised ribs. “What were you thinking going out alone, or were you alone?”

Cisco winced as she felt his ribs. “I was alone. I thought I could handle it on my own, but obviously I was wrong. I’m not strong enough yet.” He sighed, remembering Laurel didn’t know about his powers yet, and he thought he would save that information for another time.
