“A little lesson for you then, never drink at these things. Something always happens.” He knew he shouldn’t have come, because he knew some shit was going to happen. Super Villain 101. Fuck Len for bringing him here… Mark eyed Cisco for a moment, and let out a small ‘hmph’ noise. The Flash. Fuck that guy too. “Everything had better be ok because I’m sorry to break it to you, but not lending you these tools out of the goodness of my heart.”

“You know you tolerate me the most.” Cisco smiled, removing the screw from his collar and moving to the next. “Everything will be fine, Mardon. I didn’t ask you to stay. Hell, I didn’t ask for your help finding tools. You offered them.” Cisco said, steadying his hand as he spun the screwdriver.

Roy winced in sympathy. “Ouch. Well, I’m sure you guys are all more than smart enough to figure out a way around it.”

“Let’s hope so. Cait will probably help. She usually does. Hopefully she doesn’t freak out when I show her.” Cisco wiggled his eyebrows, thinking about all the possible reactions that could come from Caitlin.

Roy grinned at Cisco’s enthusiasm over his powers. “It is pretty cool. You could pretty much do anything. Don’t go mad with power now.” He chuckled before shuddering at the mention of tests. “That I do not envy. I hate needles.”

“Nah, there’s sort of a setback right now with my powers. Massive headaches. It really sucks.” He shrugged. “Nah, they aren’t too bad. We’ve tested them out a little, but not enough to really know whats going on”

markmardoned:

“I meant before. You know I wasn’t born like this,” he pointed out, and rolled his eyes at Cisco’s question. “Why do people always take villains at their word? I’m still not convinced every single person here doesn’t have a bomb strapped to their neck.” Ignoring the fact that he had already shorted his out and it hadn’t exploded, of course. “Hey,” He leaned toward Cisco, speaking sternly – a tone that he was well practiced with as an older brother – and narrowing his eyes. “I doubt that blast will kill us instantly, and I will take this entire place down with us.

Don’t lose your shit now, kid.”

“I’m not losing my shit, Mardon. My hands just get a little shaking when I have alcohol in my system. One of the reasons you’re not supposed to work with machinery under the influence..” He trailed off, focusing on putting the tip of the screwdriver back in the groove. “I got this. If worse comes to worse….” He stopped himself before he said any more. He knew better than to share the knowledge of his powers with just anyone. “I’m sure The Flash will figure something out. Or The Arrow. It will all be okay in the end, I’m sure.”

markmardoned:

“Oh yeah?” He didn’t know why he was surprised hearing that, he heard that Cisco did make Cold’s and Heatwave’s guns. “I never had the need for them myself.” Especially now that he had powers. Bombs drew too much attention, him and his brother had gotten away with robbing six banks before they were caught the last thing he liked was attention. Mark nodded his head a little, “Right. And then you’re going to defuse it… And the other ones?”

“Of course you didn’t need them, you have the power of controlling the weather literally at your fingertips.” Cisco laughed. “Wait, other ones? I thought the green-haired dude just said one? Why do villians always go back on their word?” He sighed, moving closer to the mirror to get a better look at what he was dealing with. “ But Yeah. First, I’d like to get them off, then I can start thinking about diffusing them.” Cisco said as the screwdriver slipped from it’s position. “Shit. Just what I need is for my hand to slip and the thing to go off.”

markmardoned:

“Yeah, you’re an engineer, not a member of the bomb squad.” Mark said. He probably wasn’t helping, he probably was doing the opposite of helping but what was to be expected? “Here…” He muttered taking the mirror and holding it up so he could put both hands to good use. Mardon watched as he fiddled with the collar, not hiding the cringe on his face or the fact that he was noticeably leaning away…

“Mardon. I’ve made bombs and I’ve diffused them. The only reason something would go wrong is because I’m slightly drunk. But I’ve worked under more pressure before, so its nothing.” Cisco laughed as the man arched away from him. He finally got the screwdriver into the slot and began turning it. “Plus, I’m not diffusing it, just taking it off my neck. I wouldn’t risk diffusing it while it was still on my neck. I’m not that stupid.”

“Sara, it’s okay. Your collar isn’t the bomb. You’re safe.” His hands were at his neck, and one of his hands covered the red that was on his own collar. “You should get out of here, I should stay and help remove the collars.” This whole exchange had pulled him from acting like his drunk self and brought him back to reality.

“No, Cisco. I’m not safe and neither are you.” Reaching out, she hesitantly pulled his hands from his neck. The light blinked red, what a unfortunate color it was. So bold and deadly. “No, you need to wait for Caitlin and Felicity. She’ll get it off. I’ll go find, Ollie. We’ll figure it out,” she staggered to her feet feeling like the world was tilted far out of it’s own orbit.

“Sara, I’m an engineer. I could take if off if I wanted to. If  I could find some tools. But I have yet to find any.” He huffed, “You need to get out of here. Save yourself. You have your whole life ahead of you. The world won’t lose much when I’m gone.” He said, his voice betraying him by cracking. He stood up and made his way to the balcony, trying to distance himself from the crowd. “Go find Oliver, Felicity, whomever. I’ll be around.”

“Uhm, probably. I’m in the ‘something completely new’ category. I can stop people in their tracks, shatter concrete and glass without touching it, and probably more.” Cisco shrugged. “I’m still on the learning curve for it, however.”

Roy’s eyes widened a little in surprise. “Well that… wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. I don’t know what I was expecting but not that.” He took a sip from his drunk as he thought over that information. “How come you seem to be discovering your powers later than other metahumans?”

“Its actually pretty cool. I’m slowly learning to control it, so I don’t use it often.” He smiled, “I’m not really sure, we have yet to figure that out yet. Run tests and whatnot.”
