“Why is it taking so long to get a damn burger? Don’t you guys precook this shit?” The server who passed his table glared at him, and Mark grumbled under his breath but fell silent because no matter how annoyed he was he didn’t want spit in his food. No matter how long he’d been out of the pipeline … Lets just say he was never going to take fast food for granted again, but waiting and patience had never been his strong suit.
Cisco had been sitting in Big Belly burger, minding his own business when he heard someone yelling about his food. Is that Mark Mardon? Weather Wizard? He thought to himself as he took a sip of his soda. He got up from his seat and walked over to the man. “Mardon?”
Violet couldn’t focus on the movie, shifting on the couch constantly, seeming restless.
Cisco’s eyes were glued to the television until he felt a constant moving from his couch companion. “Vi, why are you moving so much? Got ants in your pants?” Cisco teased, poking her foot.
“Relax, it’s back on it’s heroic mannequin. It just has a cut in the side.” In reality it was a puncture from when he was stabbed earlier in the day, but he was going with it got ripped.
“Duuuude. I thought we discussed being careful!” Cisco walked over to where the suit was kept and opened the compartment. He got real close to the suit, inspecting the tear. “Are you sure it got caught on something? Or do you want to tell me something else?” Cisco said, getting protective of his friend.
“We have that in common,” Len said and couldn’t help but be a little amused at the other man. “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t like it, and I’m not planning on leaving any time soon. Even if that is inconvenient for you, and your friends.”
“Eh, that’s not going to be much of an inconvenience unless you break your end of the deal…“ He trailed off, glancing at the man between sips of his beer.
Zee: And if that was the case then I’d have to find a way to make it up to you
Zee: but since all is forgiven…;P
Zee:Wine, Pasta and dinner? You’re going to spoil me.
Zee: Anything sweet is fine with me
Cisco: I spoil all the beautiful ladies. 😉
Cisco: Sounds good! I’ll surprise you then.
Violet leaned over and snuggled into his side. “I’ve never watched the Hobbit. Or really anything. Just heard people talk about them.”
“WHAT?” Cisco was surprised, to say the least. “You have quite the adventure ahead of you then, Vi.” He opened his soda and took a sip as the movie began.
Cold chuckled and nodded his head, “indeed I did, you didn’t actually think that I wouldn’t notice that, would you? I told you I had studied that gun inside and out – it was a valiant effort though.” He took a drink from his glass before he continued, “as for what I’m doing in Central City? I’m here for the same reason you’re here. This is where I live.”
“I figured.” Cisco said with a shrug, glancing over at the man. “I’m in Central City because this is my home, Cold.” Cisco turned away from the man, trying to separate himself.
Violet grabbed the spoon and carton of Cookie dough and immediately began digging through the freezer burn. “Come Back Quick!” she yelled after him.
Cisco dried his hands on his shirt as he walked back down the hallway. He set his soda and ice cream on the end table before sitting in the vacant spot, draping the blanket over both their legs. “Tonight’s movie is The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,“ he said in an announcer-like voice. “Popcorn is in the kitchen, I’m sure you can find it if you want some.” He gave a quick glance at Violet with a smile before hitting play.
Zee: Cisco who?
Zee:I’m kidding, I remember you. How could I forget?
Zee: Red wine is a weakness of mine, but you can surprise me if you want.
Cisco: I was going to say I was hurt! But all is forgiven..;)
Cisco: Red wine it is! Anything in particular for dessert?
