Violet didn’t look convinced, stepping even closer so that she was behind him on her tiptoes resting her chin on Barry’s shoulder.
“Uhm, I think it’s just a break things kind of power. But I guess we’ll see,” Cisco removed the helmet and shook his hair out like a dog before putting the helmet back on. He crossed to a piece of concrete and glanced back at Barry and Violet with a grin plastered across his face. “Watch this!” He did exactly what he did before they got here, but this time focused not only the power, but also the energy within him on the concrete. He squeezed his eyes shut tight and the entire piece of concrete crumbled before him.
Barry smiled as his friend, used his powers, glad he had taken to it so much. “That’s awesome Cisco! Now, has that helped your headaches?” Barry looked down at the monitor, checking to make sure the other’s vitals were going strong.
Cisco jogged back over to the two and wiggled his eyebrows. “Cool, huh?” He took off the helmet and the belt as he hummed a little tune. “It’s so-so right now. I think I just need to rehydrate, eat some real food, and spend some quality time with friends before taking a looooong nap.” Cisco smiled, hoping that his nightmares wouldn’t wake him up again.
Cisco: Dude. I’m a great cuddler. There’s ice cream in my freezer if you want it.
Violet: Ok but do you smell like the forest? And what kind of ice cream.
Cisco: Uh, I smell like soap and shampoo. Oh, and deodorant. I think I have mint chocolate chip, vanilla, and some sherbet. Dibs on my sherbet tho.
Cisco: Is that so? I was just about to start a movie if you’re so inclined to join me
Violet: Like. It’s doubtful that you will reach the cuddling skills of Barry. Like. He set the bar pretty high. But You’re also more cushy so I have high hopes.
Cisco: Dude. I’m a great cuddler. There’s ice cream in my freezer if you want it.
Violet: So.
Violet: I decided that I quite like cuddling.
Violet: We should cuddle. As a sibling bonding thing.
Cisco: Is that so? I was just about to start a movie if you’re so inclined to join me
“Heh yeah, probably,” he laughed. “I don’t run for anything. Well, maybe for food. Anyway. Just be careful out there friend.” Cisco said, patting the man’s arm.
“Nothing beats running for food, I’m always hungry. Actually, I think I’m going to do that now.” Without saying anything else, Wally ran off as fast as he could.
“You caught me! I did have plan after all.” He said with a sigh of content. He pulled out his phone and put the date and time into his phone and saved it. He flipped his phone over so the screen was facing the table. “Well, I get out of work at 5, so I should be early. So no worries there. Is there any chance that I can get your number?” Cisco smiled at the woman, pushing his phone toward her.
Deciding that giving him her number couldn’t hurt, Zatanna reached out and picked up the phone. She quickly put in her number and saved it under the name Zee before handing it back to him. “There you go.” Just as she opened her mouth to say more her own phone began to ring. She looked down at the caller I.D before rejecting the call. “And that is my cue to leave. I’ll be looking forward to Monday night, cutie.” With one final wink, Zatanna turned around and walk away.
“Oliver, you know you’re not just supposed to come down here unannounced.” Cisco sighed, looking back at his tablet. “I don’t know where Barry is, why?”
“Goes to show what poor security this place has.” He shrugged, “he’s never here when he needs to be so it seems. I need to speak with him.”
“Poor security my ass! You’re just a ninja who can break into anything.” Cisco scoffed, shooting a grim look at Oliver. “Barry isn’t always here. He has a job…and a life. Why don’t you just call him?” Cisco questioned the man, still upset with him about essentially calling him a bomber.
“So she gets dinner and a show. Not a bad arrangement. For you, anyway. I can’t cook for shit.” Jason muttered. He wondered briefly what it was like for the biggest source of anxiety in one’s life to be romance, planning a date. Something so simple it almost made him yearn. “Go ahead.” He shrugged, straightening himself in his stool. “You actually know what you’re doing, right?”
“A show? I don’t know what you mean.” Cisco said before turning and asking the bartender for their first aid kit. For the first time that night, Cisco looked and saw that they had replaced all the bottles and the mirror behind the bar from the incident earlier this week. It was reassuring that he hadn’t heard about police coming to the scene or an investigation after him. “I know enough. My co-worker is a doctor, she’s been teaching me a few things here and there.” Cisco put a hand on Jason’s chin, turning the man’s head to get a closer look. “It doesn’t look like you need stitches, but a few butterfly bandages wouldn’t hurt.”
“Oliver, you know you’re not just supposed to come down here unannounced.” Cisco sighed, looking back at his tablet. “I don’t know where Barry is, why?”
“See? You did have a charming plan.” She shot him a wink of her own before nodding. “That sounds perfectly fine with me. I’m looking forward to it actually.” And she meant that. Her search had taken up most of her time and it had been a while since she had dinner with someone. “Opening night is less than a week away. Monday at 8:00 pm,from what I remember. Don’t be late now. I might just hold that against you.”
“You caught me! I did have plan after all.” He said with a sigh of content. He pulled out his phone and put the date and time into his phone and saved it.
