Violet: Stop. Barry told me everything. Are you hurt? Oliver came and got me and helped me get out of my dissociative episode but I don’t remember much of anything anymore. Just that when I looked up you were gone. I got to hug a real live superhero last night. It was so cool. The hospital gave me a lot of medicine.
Cisco: Like, “everything” everything? I ran ’cause I was scared. I should have thought about getting you out of there first. I’m sorry. Family should have come first. I just don’t have a great relationship with my other sibling, so. Yeah, aside from being really shaken up, I just have some cuts on my face and the headache still hasn’t died down yet. so that sucks. But A real, live superhero? Wow, lucky you! You’ll have to tell me all about it when I make this whole night up to you. you deserve it. We’ll go to a fair or something. idk we’ll figure that out later. Get some sleep, sis. I just wanted to make sure you were okay.
Cisco: Hey I’m sorry I ran out. You probably think I’m just like our father. It was really lousy of me. I promise I’ll explain when I know more, and I will make it up to you as well.
Barry let the other lecture him, sitting back and grabbing a bit of gauze to press to his wounds. “I trust her. I know it’s crazy, but she won’t tell. And if she does then I’ll deal with it when that comes. It’s not like I’ve never been betrayed before.” He sighed, continuing to care for his friend. “She was understanding, and yes, I did explain the cause of what happened might have been you. I wasn’t sure then. But she doesn’t think you’re a freak. Don’t worry Cisco. And you’re going to be alright. At least you aren’t dead.”
Cisco’s heart hurt, knowing he was the one who had told Snart his identity just a few months back. He had betrayed Barry. “Yeah, being dead is no good.” Cisco laughed hesitantly, trying to keep the dream-memory from his mind of Thawne/Wells killing him. “But You’re sure Violet is okay? What about any signs of PTSD kinds stuff?”
“She did get hurt, but she’s alright. I explained about Meta humans and I told her about me. And the speed. I figured having some proof might help her believe it and I told her whatever happened you didn’t mean to leave her, you were just scared. She wanted me to tell you she forgives you and I’m to let her know if you’re alright.” He continued to remove the little shards, being careful and precise. “Violet cares about you. Once she understood I think she was more concerned than upset.”
“We can’t tell everybody and their brother about the metas, Barry. Or about you and your speed. What if something happens and she lashes out by telling people who you are? We don’t know what she’s capable of yet. Granted she’s my half sister, but still. I barely know her.” Cisco rambled on and on, trying to not think about the glass that may or not be in his face still. He still didn’t open his eyes, for he was sure the lights were on. “I’m not alright, though Barry. Whether she cares about me or not, she’s going to think I’m a total freak once she finds out about all this. Wait, you said you already told her?” Cisco’s headache was dulling down a bit, and for that he was grateful.
“The glass got you.” Quickly Barry held him close to his chest before he started to run, taking them to his house in an instant. They stopped with Cisco seated on the couch and Barry kept running, only stopping when he had a chair and the first aid kit to take care of Cisco. “I talked to Violet.” He leaned in with tweezers, carefully extracting the glass from his friend’s face. “Hold still.”
As the world zoomed past them, Cisco squeezed his eyes shut, afraid his beer from earlier might make a re-appearance. As he was suddenly placed on the couch, he kept his eyes closed so the light wouldn’t make his head hurt worse than it already did. Cisco winced with each piece of glass that Barry extracted from his face, confused as to how he didn’t notice his face was bleeding with glass embedded in his skin. “You did? Is she okay? God, I should have never left her.” Cisco gingerly rubbed the back of his neck, thinking about the timeline of events from this evening. “Oh, sorry.”
“Shit.” Barry shook his head. “I’m going to run us to the house. Is that okay? And I’m taking you to my place cause I know where the first aid kit is.” At Cisco’s smile he relaxed a little, still worried about him but knew the other was essentially okay. “Yeah, I know that struggle.” He himself hadn’t slept a full night since what had happened the night Wells died, so he understood. “We’ll figure it out. Are you good to do some super speed travelling?”
“Uh, yeah, sure. I don’t think I own a first aid kit, anyway. Why do you need a first aid kit? It’s just a headache, its probably just a combination of lack of sleep, dehydration, and not enough to eat.” Cisco’s smiled dissipated, the headache throbbing fully once again. “Um, sure? I guess we’ll see, since I’ve never, um. Yeah, traveled at super speed?”
“Do you know what happens to deceitful men?” Jade smiled, pulling the trigger gently. The bullet just grazed the top of his shoulder, a flesh wound would keep him talking. At least long enough for her to think of a creative way to gut him like a pig.
Cisco cried out in pain as the bullet tore through the flesh of his shoulder. “What the hell? I told you I didn’t know! Oliver is a dick, that’s about all I know.” He continued to stick to his story, not wanting to give up his friend. Sure, Oliver wasn’t the nicest to him the first time they met, but Cisco liked to think they were getting closer. He held a hand to the fresh wound, trying to stop the blood that was soaking his shirt.
Barry paused as the bins flew away, surprised. There was no question about Cisco having powers or not. “I’m fine, I ran into it myself. Careless. Are you alright?” He stepped closer to his friend, not scared of him at all. “Keep calm. I’m gonna take a stab in the dark and say your powers react to your emotion. And your emotions have been strained as of late. Though, this is pretty cool. It’s like you have the Force.” He smiled, wanting to make Cisco smile. He needed to relax. “It’ll be okay Cisco, just breathe a little.”
“I think so?” Cisco muttered, turning around to face his friend. There were cuts on his face from the glass from the bar, and the pain was there, but he thought it was just his headache. “Although cool, I really don’t want the force right now.” Cisco gave a small smile. “I just want to sleep. I haven’t gotten any decent REM sleep in probably a month or so. That’s never good.” Cisco took a deep breath like his friend asked, and his hands stayed firmly in his pockets.
Barry nearly ran into Cisco as he went to his apartment, swerving and ending up running into a trashbin. He groaned at the collision, but was immediately up and moving to Cisco. “Hey, Cisco, sorry, took a bit longer than expected. What happened?”
Cisco jumped at the collision, his hands coming out of his pockets to protect himself. As his hands flew out, the trashbins on either side of the alley flew backward at the force of whatever was coming out of his hands. “Oh my God. I did it again. Barry are you okay? I just keep hurting people, I’m so so sorry.” He hung his head as his friend got up, walking away thinking he had hurt yet another person. “I had, well have a headache, I reached for a glass of water, and it shattered before i even touched it. All the bottles behind the bar shattered, as did the mirror and picture frames shattered and fell off the wall. I ran.”
