What happened?” She questioned, the kink forming just above her brow. “You’re a whole hell of a lot jumper than usual and that’s saying something.”

“Jumpy? Me? Never!” Cisco laughed. “Yeah, I am a little wired. Caffeine and pain meds. Caffeine to keep me awake with this concussion, and pain meds to keep away the pain. But like I said, Just a weapons test that went not-so-according to plan. I’m fine though. Just a few stitches, a concussion and maybe a broken rib. But yeah,” Cisco blabbed.

“I don’t know either, honestly.” Cisco said, turning his head. He raised his eyebrow at the stranger. “Hello strange girl. Who are you?“

“Carol Ferris, at your service,” she said, sticking out her hand. “And strange? You should talk. You’re the one talking to yourself.”

Cisco took her hand and shook it. “Cisco Ramon, at yours. For the record, I’m not crazy. I have a concussion from an, um, accident from the other day. Thinking internally makes my head go all weird.”

Staci exited the paper office heading out into the sun that lit up the day. It was actually gorgeous out right now. She headed over to a neighboring cafe to edit some pictures while she took lunch. She was just about finished when her computer glitched, losing all the work that she had just done. Her hand slammed on the table in frustration, frustration that grew by the second. She didn’t notice the threatening clouds that had formed behind her until she felt the wind pick up. She stopped and took a deep breath. Thanking god when the clouds stopped and everything calmed, no she could only hope that no one noticed.

Cisco’s eyes widened at the sudden onset of clouds, as well as how fast they dissipated. “Woah, did you see that? That was wicked cool,” he said aloud. “There’s probably another Weather Wizard around here somewhere,” He mumbled, scanning the crowd for anyone suspicious.

starferris:

Totally,” Carol replied easily, nodding as if she had been in on the conversation clearly going on in the stranger’s head. Her grin betrayed her previously hidden amusement. “I really don’t know how you cope with it.”

It was then that Violet put it together that the man she had been talking to for the past hour was, in fact, her target. Francisco was a weird name anyway, it would make sense that he went by Cisco. She had assumed that it was a huge lab with hundreds of employees. Her breathing got quicker and she skidded to a stop. “Um. Listen. I uh. I really don’t want to get in the way. I mean, I just met you. And I don’t know what explosion happened, I don’t keep up with the news, but that sounds intense so um. I’ll let you get to… Whatever it is you do. The person I was looking for doesn’t really… I think I need a drink. So I uh… Would you mind just telling me where the nearest bar is and I’ll get out of your hair? I mean, you said you were already late so.”

“Oh, um okay. I understand. Yeah. Totally.” Cisco started throwing in random words to fill the awkward silence. “I mean, it wasn’t terrible. I mean, the building is still standing, isn’t it? Anyway, it doesn’t matter because you’re leaving anyway. Uh, the closest bar is right across from Jitters. Here’s some change for a ride Taxi, bus, whatever works.” He said, sticking a few one dollar bills in her jean pockets. “Hey, maybe we’ll run into each other again! It was great meeting you, Violet.” He said before turning and taking the elevator down to the cortex.

“Sara Lance…Laurel’s sister?  Isn’t she dead?  Well, I guess you just answered that one for me so just kidding.”  He smiled a bit before continuing to speak.  “Good for you Cisco.  I’m glad you’ve got someone. You deserve it.   And Sight seeing?  I mean, we’ve got Meta’s now, but that’s all the sight we really have.  It’s a little weird.”

image

“Heh yeah. I have no idea what we are, but I like to think there’s something there,” Cisco chuckled. “She didn’t know anything about the metas or the particle accelerator explosion or anything. It was weird. SO Weird.”

always-going-faster:

“You’ve got yourself a girl? Who?”  Barry grinned, happy for his friend, though the other encounter was a bit odd.  “So, random coffee with a homeless girl?  That’s cool.”

“I don’t really have her, persay. But I really like spending time with her and making her food. I don’t know if you know her. Hell, I just met her a little over a month ago. Sara Lance? She’s fun.” Cisco smiled, the simple thought of Sara made his heart swell with happiness. “Random coffee? Hell yes. But I don’t think the girl was homeless. She said she was just visiting Central City. Why? She said sight-seeing, but there aren’t really any sights to see here, so that’s sketchy.”
