Violet took a deep breath and got out of the car, crossing her arms in almost a self soothing way and followed him inside. “How many people work here?” She asked, her demeanor far more mousy than previously.

Cisco laughed lightly at the question. “Eh, I think an upwards of maybe four since the explosion? Maybe more? I’m not exactly sure.” Cisco opened the door for Violet as they approached it. “So this is the infamous S.T.A.R. Labs. Down the hall is a stage and meeting rooms, and take the elevator down and you’ll see all the offices and labs. That’s where we’re headed.”

Violet still looked tense as they drove, her fists balled and all of her peripheral vision trained on him.

Cisco pulled the car into the parking lot into a spot that was fairly close to the doors. He turned off the ignition and almost jumped out of the car, eager to get inside and give Violet a tour.

Barry just shrugged and went with the topic jump. “You met a lady?  Like, a friendship lady or a romance type lady?”

Cisco laughed whole heartedly. “Definitely not a romance type lady. I think I might already be onto one of those. But that’s besides the point. This girl was just sitting on the street, and I started to talk to her, brought her to Jitters. Had a really great conversation with her. It was weird. A good weird though. It was like I’ve known her for a while.”

Violet eyed the car warily. “I’ll have you know that if it was anyone else i wouldn’t get in a car with them. But I’m pretty sure I could overpower you so don’t get any ideas,” she warned, still looking suspiciously into the car, looking for any red flags.

“Um, okaay. Like I could even think about even going near you with these flabby arms.” He laughed, wiggling his arms awkwardly out in front of him. She didn’t need to know that he’d been somewhat training to be able to protect himself if he were to ever get in a tight situation. He started the car as she got in and pulled out, going a few over the speed limit, hoping to get back in time.

“It is,” she said simply, her eyes scanning the surrounding automatically looking for threats. “I’m sure you understand, you’re a scientist.”

“Yeah, I guess. I’m more of a numbers kind of guy, so all that doesn’t really straighten out in my head all that well.” Cisco smiled as he exited the building with his new found buddy, and hit the unlock button on his little beat up car as they approached it. “This is me, now come on I’m going to be late. Again.” The ‘come on’ sounded more like pleading or begging more than anything, he really didn’t need Caitlin on his tail for being late from lunch again.

Cisco gingerly took the gun from his co-workers hands and began looking over it while his head continued to throb. “The force backwards was far too high. I need to do some more calculations.” Cisco braced himself against the wall as he stood up, closing his eyes to try and ward off the vertigo that threatened to take him back to the floor. “Woaaah. Slow Cisco, sloooow.”

When he almost was back to the floor again, she grabbed him just in case “Hey, be careful, you have a contusion, need at least to rest a bit, don’t force yourself, okay? Let me help you with this and if you want, I can try and prove it”

“Prove that I have a cut on my head? No thanks, I can feel it. My head is pounding. Thanks through.” He opened his eyes to the room no longer spinning. “Okay. To the computer. Yeah. Slowly but surely,” he said quietly as he began to shuffle slowly out of the room.

“But where is it though. I want to make sure it didn’t blow up or get smashed to smithereens.” He glanced about the room as she darted out, careful not to move his head too much, as there was a stabbing pain shooting through it along with a constant throb in his head. “Blood? Ow, Cait!” Cisco yelled out in pain as she poked and prodded at his head. “Did I? I guess that would explain the throbbing and pain….” He trailed off, looking about the room again for the laser-like gun.

Could not help rolled her eyes, he cared more about the gun that his own health and right now she only cares about his health more than that stupid gun “Wait, I’m trying to put this right” Muttered and when she was  done, stood up and looked for the gun and when she found it, grabbed it and again went where Cisco was “Here, your gun” Muttered “And don’t worry, it’s okay, I think”

“Who are you looking for at STAR Labs? I know of everyone that currently works there, I probably know them.” Cisco smiled, despite realizing he never told her where he worked. He brushed it off as STAR Labs being the only logical place for a scientist to work in this city. “I don’t know if you’ll be able to like, sit in and watch or anything, but I can give you a little walkthrough. We should get going if I’m going to make it before my lunch is up.” Cisco got up and grabbed his sweatshirt and gently placed his coffee cup in the dirty dishes bin and stood next to the table and waited for Violet.

Violet visibly darkened and simply gave him a small smile, “He uh, he doesn’t know who I am and I don’t really plan on changing that anytime soon. There are steps, you see,” she said standing up and following him. “First is surveillance, obviously, and then I analyse my surveillance, do some simple compatibility adjustments, calculate some probability and such, and only then can I possibly make contact. It’s quite a strict system.”

“Ahhh. Sounds very, uh, complex.” Cisco mused as he started walking alongside the girl. “Its just a short drive from here. Well, it was long until I found shortcuts.” Cisco blurted out, he was beginning to realize he had close to no filter with this girl.
