At the revelation, Ray dropped his briefcase and his jacket fell to the floor. “Anna? My baby girl?” Ray’s voice immediately softened, the same way it did when he was speaking to his little girl in the womb. “How- I mean, I know how, buy why?”
She nodded “All in the flesh.” Anna smiled, getting teary eyes. “I have no idea. Neither of us knows. But we are all here.” She spoke softly. “I am so glad to see you again.” It had been so long.
Ray immediately noticed the tears in his daughter’s eyes and walked to be close to her. “Hey, hey,” he whispered, pulling her into a hug. “What matters is that you’re here, and I’m here. You’re safe.” As Ray held her close, his mind was racing with possibilities of how she could be here one second, and quiet the next, just thankful to be holding his baby girl in his arms.
She nodded at him, smiling weakly. “It’s just everything that happened in the last few weeks.” Anna explained. “And the difference between that time and this time.” She whispered
Anna sighed softly “Isn’t it messing with time? I mean, I am not born yet in this time but bad things are not happening, right?”
“It’s not messing with time if you don’t tell me what happens or run into your past self. I know it’s probably not ideal, but you probably shouldn’t be around your Mom right now. I don’t know how it will affect you whilst still in the womb,” Ray explained, just as confused. He & the Legends had never run into this situation before, so he was unsure how to handle it. He pulled away from the hug, holding her at arm’s length and looking her directly in the eye. “But seriously. Whatever you do, just don’t tell me what happens in the future. It could unravel time as we know it. It could create a whole aberration.”
