“Yeah, I heard about Peter. He’s kind of scary, don’t you think?” Tom shrugged. “I think I might just stay away from those two, yeah?” He got up from where he was sitting, still leaning heavily against the wall. “I should, uh, probably go back to work,” Tom said, clearing his throat after his voice wavered.
She stood up, smiling. “He is. He also thinks he is so loved.” Ashley smirked, but then looked at him. “Are you okay?” she looked concerned. “You don’t look okay, to be honest.”
Tom took a step, but his head went swimming and he caught himself on Ashley’s shoulder before he nearly took a tumble. He leaned back against the wall and took a deep breath, closing his eyes. “I, uh, woke up this morning with a headache. But not a-a- usual headache. It felt different,” His voice was strained as he spoke. His head felt like it was being wrapped in a vice grip.
It had been a few days since Amelia had been taken to the hospital, by her brother. She had bruises all over her body and it hurt like hell.
Oliver wanted to go with their father, help him with the company but their mother had made sure, she would go so he could stay with Amelia. Sighing deep at first, she smiled when she saw Oliver returning with a milkshake. “It’s your favorite.” He smiled. Amelia chuckled softly. “Thank you, Ollie.”
The smile disappeared when she saw him “Alex….” She whispered “What are you doing here?” She looked at Oliver “Please stay?”
Oliver nodded. “I will.” He promised “What are you doing here, Alex?” He frowned @heart-on-her-sleeve
Alex stood, leaning on the doorway, a newly formed bruise on his cheekbone and a split lip. “Melia, thank God you’re alright.” His voice was thick with emotion as he gazed upon his love hooked up to tubes and wires. Deep under the surface, anger was brewing for the overprotective brother of his love.
Amelia looked at him with a frown. “Are you kidding me, right now?” Looking away, she started to cry again “I actually was excited to have this baby. Even if it was just the start of the pregnancy. But you took that away from me.” She sighed deeply. “You f*cking killed the baby… Our baby. I have no idea, why I even let you be here.” her voice was cold
Alex walked a few steps into the hospital room, aware that Oliver was still lurking. “Baby, please. I’m sorry. It was the alcohol. I shouldn’t have been drinking. I can’t believe what I did. I can’t live with what I’ve did.” Alex’s tears became full-on sobbing as he made it to the foot of her bed, falling to his knees. “I can’t-”
Sam smiled at Elena and she said to her.”I would like that. Whenever you want to show me is completely fine with me.” she told her.
“Yeah, for sure!” Elena put a few bills under her glass, enough to cover her drinks plus a tip for Matt. “Let’s start at town hall. It’s much closer than founder’s hall,” she smiled. “So, what do you want to know?”
“Not against day drinking at all.” Sam said.”I learned from my twin brother that its always a good time to have a drink especially with family.” She spoke.
“Drinking with family, drinking by myself…It’s usually the same for me,” Stefan sighed, pouring himself a double before running the woman’s word through his head again. “You got family in town? Then why are you here with boring old me? Go spend time with them,” he urged, taking a long sip from his glass.
“I’m a lonely guy, what can I say?” Alex shrugged his shoulders, a small, hardly apologetic smile gracing his face. He pulled a silver flask from his pocket and took a long pull from it before offering it to the other. “Want some?”
“Oh, I am. Trust me,” Ray drawled, leading them back to the car. “Truffle pasta? Damn straight! You know I love it just as much as you do.”
